Praying that time apart will bring us back together.

God, I pray that one day she realizes that no one will ever love her more deeply than I do. I take full accountability for my timeline not aligning with hers, but my intentions were never to delay our future. I was trying to strengthen my faith, grow as a man, and ensure that I was truly ready to be the partner and husband she deserved. Every step I took was motivated by a desire to build a stronger foundation for us and become the man she needed me to be. If I get the slightest chance I will ensure I take the opportunity to show her that no matter what she is my priority and always has been. Amen.

We hear the longing in your heart and the sincerity of your intentions, and we lift this situation before the Lord with both compassion and biblical truth. First, we want to affirm your desire to grow in faith and become the man God has called you to be, this is commendable and reflects a heart that seeks to honor the Lord. Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 24:27, "Prepare your work outside, and get your fields ready. Afterwards, build your house." Your efforts to lay a strong foundation before committing to marriage are wise and align with God’s design for preparation and stewardship.

However, we must gently but firmly address the areas where this situation may not fully align with biblical principles. The language of "partner" and the emotional dependency reflected in phrases like "no one will ever love her more deeply than I do" reveal a heart that is deeply invested in a relationship that may not yet be under God’s covering. If this woman is not your wife, we must rebuke the spirit of possessiveness and emotional entanglement that can often accompany relationships outside of marriage. The Bible warns in 1 Corinthians 7:32-34 that the unmarried should be devoted to the Lord without distraction, and in 2 Corinthians 6:14, we are commanded not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers. If she is not a believer, or if this relationship is not moving toward marriage in a way that honors God, we must surrender it fully to Him.

We also want to address the issue of timing and accountability. While you acknowledge that your timeline did not align with hers, we must ask: Was this relationship ever clearly defined as a courtship with the goal of marriage, or was it allowed to drift in ambiguity? The Bible calls us to clarity and intentionality in our relationships, especially those that could lead to marriage. Proverbs 19:21 reminds us, "There are many plans in a man’s heart, but Yahweh’s counsel will prevail." If this separation is God’s way of redirecting your paths, we must trust His sovereignty rather than cling to our own desires.

Most importantly, we notice that this prayer does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, who is the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is only by His blood that we are saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. If you are already a believer, we encourage you to submit this relationship, and every area of your life, to His lordship, trusting that His plans are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can be saved and the only name through which we have access to You. Lord, we lift up this brother and his heart’s desire before You. We ask that You would first and foremost draw him closer to You, that he would seek Your kingdom above all else (Matthew 6:33). Father, if this relationship is not of You, we ask that You would break any unhealthy attachments and set him free from emotional entanglement. Give him the strength to surrender this woman and his desires fully into Your hands, trusting that Your plans for him are good (Jeremiah 29:11).

Lord, if this woman is meant to be his wife, we ask that You would soften her heart and align her timeline with his in a way that honors You. But if she is not the one You have for him, we pray that You would close the door completely and give him peace in that closure. Father, we rebuke any spirit of idolatry in this situation, anything that has taken Your place in his heart, and we ask that You would restore him to wholehearted devotion to You. Help him to grow as a man of God, rooted and grounded in Your love (Ephesians 3:17), and prepare him for the wife You have for him, if that is Your will.

We also pray for this woman, Lord. If she does not know You, we ask that You would draw her to salvation through Jesus Christ. If she is a believer, we pray that You would guide her steps and protect her heart from any relationship that does not align with Your will. Father, we ask that You would heal any wounds in both of their hearts and lead them into Your perfect plan for their lives.

Above all, Lord, we ask that You would be glorified in this situation. Whether they come back together or go their separate ways, let Your name be exalted. We trust You, Father, and we surrender this prayer into Your hands. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name we pray, Amen.

Brother, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord with all your heart. Spend time in His Word, surround yourself with godly men who can speak truth into your life, and trust that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). If this relationship is meant to be, God will bring it to pass in His perfect timing. If not, He has something even better in store for you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).

We truly hear the heartbreak in your words and the sincerity of your efforts to grow and prepare. It’s clear you’ve been pouring yourself into becoming the man God has called you to be, and that matters deeply to Him. Sometimes love looks like waiting, sometimes it looks like letting go, either way, God sees every step you’ve taken.

We pray that you’d find peace in knowing your heart has been in the right place, even when the outcome hasn’t matched your hopes. May you feel His presence guiding you forward, whether that means reconciliation or a new path He has for you.

Lord, hold this brother close as he wrestles with his heart. Comfort him where he feels the weight of this season, and remind him that his worth and purpose aren’t tied to this relationship. Strengthen his faith and fill the loneliness with Your peace. We ask that You’d either restore what was meant to be or redirect his steps into something even better than he’s imagined. Bring healing to both hearts and let Your will prevail. In Jesus’ name, we pray.

May God watch over you. Bring you into a spirit of praise and worship. May the Lord bring his church together. To remember him. And think of him. To repent also sin. Because I've sinned against the Lord I've suffered. The Lord is righteous. And I need to be in subjection to God's authority. Prayer. Worship. Scriptures. Rules to living life. Awaiting the return of our Lord. Believing for his promise. If it please God for me to marry. If not. That I pray and worship and await the coming of the Lord and praying for all God's church. Lord Yeshua's name. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this tender season of waiting and reflection. It has been our joy to lift your heart before the Lord, asking Him to draw both of you closer to His perfect will and to each other.

We have prayed that, even in this time apart, God would soften hearts, align timing, and reveal His purpose in every moment. We asked the Holy Spirit to confirm in your spirit the steps you’ve taken toward growth and maturity, and to help you trust that the same God who placed love in your heart is faithful to complete the good work He has begun.

If, in these days, you’ve seen glimpses of reconciliation, new understanding, or even quiet peace in your own heart, we would love to hear your praise report. Let us rejoice together in how God is moving. If, however, the waiting continues and the path forward still feels uncertain, we encourage you to bring this request before the Lord again. We remain committed to standing with you in prayer, trusting that God hears every word spoken in faith.

May the Father continue to strengthen you, deepen your trust in His timing, and remind you that your love—rooted in Christ—is never in vain. May He prepare both of you for the future He has designed, and may His peace guard your heart as you seek Him above all else.

We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
