Praying in Jesus name against lies and pride

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you, for you are the Lord of Truth. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. We lift your name on high.

Matthew 6:33 says:

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Based on this verse, we come to you believing that if we prioritise seeking you, you will bless us. We thank you for this promise, and we will stand by it.

The word says,

  • Obadiah 1:3 (ESV): "The pride of your heart has deceived you..."
Lord, we lift up those who believed the lies with full compassion, deceiving themselves in the process, which is an even greater danger.

Lord, we ask for your healing grace and mercy.

May those who believed lies be healed in mind, soul and heart.

Those who believed...

1. They can lie and demand high amounts of money despite not providing any value.
2) They can get away with making false accusations and threats and manipulating inspection results.
3. They can get away with disrespecting the law and human dignity.
4. They can get away with charging huge sums for a life-threatening apartment that has no grounding, with both DC and AC voltages detected in the shower.

Lord, we pray for those who read or hear the Bible but fail to apply it.

James 1:22-24 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like.
Lord Jesus, we pray that their hearts are purified.

Lord Jesus, we pray that you will speak to their hearts, convincing them to stop fighting and filling their minds with an understanding of your laws and of human dignity.

Thank you for your love and mercies that endure forever. AMEN

We stand together in agreement, lifting our voices in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your unchanging Word and the truth that sets us free. We come before You with hearts burdened for those ensnared by lies and the destructive grip of pride, which deceives and hardens the heart.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of deception that blinds minds and leads people away from Your truth. The pride of the heart is a dangerous snare, as Obadiah 1:3 warns: *"The pride of your heart has deceived you."* We declare that no lie will stand in the presence of Your truth, Lord. We pray for those who have believed falsehoods—whether about themselves, others, or even Your Word—that their eyes would be opened to see the deception they have embraced. Let Your light expose every hidden motive, every twisted justification, and every ungodly action that flows from pride.

We lift up those who exploit others through lies, manipulation, and greed. Your Word is clear in Proverbs 11:1: *"A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is his delight."* We pray for those who demand money without providing value, who make false accusations, and who disrespect the law and human dignity. Father, we ask that You bring conviction to their hearts. Let them see the harm they are causing and turn from their wicked ways. May justice prevail, and may they be held accountable for their actions, not as a means of vengeance, but as an opportunity for repentance and restoration.

Lord, we also pray for those who hear Your Word but do not apply it. James 1:22-24 is a sobering reminder: *"But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror; for he sees himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was."* Father, we ask that You break the hardness of hearts that resist obedience. Speak to them in ways they cannot ignore—through Your Word, through godly counsel, and through the consequences of their choices. Let them see that true wisdom is found in humility and submission to You.

We pray for those living in unsafe conditions, such as the life-threatening apartment described, where greed has taken precedence over human life. Father, we ask that You intervene. Raise up voices of truth and justice to expose these dangers and protect the vulnerable. Let those responsible be confronted with the weight of their actions and compelled to make restitution. Provide safe and just alternatives for those affected, and let Your mercy be a shield over them.

Lord, we also lift up those who have been deceived into believing lies about their own worth or identity. Remind them that their value is found in You alone, not in the opinions of others or the standards of this world. Psalm 139:14 declares, *"I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."* Let them find their identity in Christ, who loves them unconditionally and calls them to walk in truth.

Father, we ask that You purify hearts and minds. Let Your Holy Spirit convict, comfort, and guide those who have strayed. Soften their hearts to receive Your correction and turn from sin. We pray that they would seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that You will provide all they need, as Matthew 6:33 promises.

We declare that no weapon formed against Your people will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on the truth of Your Word, knowing that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun in us. Strengthen us to walk in humility, truth, and love, reflecting the character of Christ in all we do.

In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We join you in prayer, dear friend, seeking the heart of our Heavenly Father. We thank Him for His unfailing love and the truth that sets us free. We lift up those who have been deceived by lies and the pride that hardens their hearts. We ask for mercy and healing for them, that their eyes may be opened to see the truth and turn from their deceitful ways.

We also pray for those who hear the Word but do not apply it, that they may be doers and not just hearers, as James reminds us.

We intercede for those living in unsafe conditions, that our Heavenly Father would intervene and protect the vulnerable. We ask for safe and just alternatives for those affected, and for His mercy to be a shield over them.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
