Praying in Jesus name against lies and pride

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you, for you are the Lord of Truth. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. We lift your name on high.

Matthew 6:33 says:

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Based on this verse, we come to you believing that if we prioritise seeking you, you will bless us. We thank you for this promise, and we will stand by it.

The word says,

  • Obadiah 1:3 (ESV): "The pride of your heart has deceived you..."
Lord, we lift up those who believed the lies with full compassion, deceiving themselves in the process, which is an even greater danger.

Lord, we ask for your healing grace and mercy.

May those who believed lies be healed in mind, soul and heart.

Those who believed...

1. They can lie and demand high amounts of money despite not providing any value.
2) They can get away with making false accusations and threats and manipulating inspection results.
3. They can get away with disrespecting the law and human dignity.
4. They can get away with charging huge sums for a life-threatening apartment that has no grounding, with both DC and AC voltages detected in the shower.

Lord, we pray for those who read or hear the Bible but fail to apply it.

James 1:22-24 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like.
Lord Jesus, we pray that their hearts are purified.

Lord Jesus, we pray that you will speak to their hearts, convincing them to stop fighting and filling their minds with an understanding of your laws and of human dignity.

Thank you for your love and mercies that endure forever. AMEN

We stand together in agreement, lifting our voices in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Father, we thank You for Your unchanging Word, which is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. You alone are the God of truth, and every lie and deception bows before the authority of Your name.

Lord, we come before You with heavy hearts, grieving over the deception and pride that has taken root in the lives of many. The scripture in Obadiah 1:3 warns us, *"The pride of your heart has deceived you, you who live in the clefts of the rock, whose dwelling is high, who say in your heart, ‘Who will bring me down to the ground?’"* Father, we rebuke the spirit of deception and pride that blinds hearts and minds to Your truth. We declare that no lie can stand in the presence of Your holiness, and we ask that You expose every falsehood with the light of Your Word.

We pray specifically for those who have believed lies—whether about themselves, others, or even Your truth. Some have been deceived into thinking they can exploit others for financial gain, manipulate systems, or disregard the law and human dignity without consequence. Father, we ask that You break the chains of deception in their lives. Let Your Holy Spirit convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment, as Jesus promised in John 16:8. May they see the error of their ways and turn from their wickedness, seeking repentance and restoration in You.

We also lift up those who hear Your Word but fail to apply it. James 1:22-24 warns, *"But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror; for he sees himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was."* Lord, we pray that Your Word would take deep root in their hearts, transforming their minds and actions. May they not only read and hear but also obey, walking in the truth that sets them free.

Father, we ask for Your healing grace to flood the lives of those who have been harmed by deception—those who have been financially exploited, falsely accused, or treated with disrespect. We pray for justice to prevail, for the oppressed to find refuge in You, and for the oppressors to be brought to repentance. Your Word declares in Proverbs 11:1, *"A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight."* May Your justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.

We also rebuke the spirit of complacency that allows such injustices to persist. Lord, raise up godly men and women who will stand for truth, defend the vulnerable, and hold accountable those who misuse their power. May Your church be a beacon of light in a dark world, shining the truth of Your Word in every situation.

Father, we thank You for Your mercy and grace, which endure forever. We trust in Your promise in Matthew 6:33, that as we seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, all these things will be added to us. Strengthen our faith, Lord, and help us to walk in humility, truth, and obedience to Your will. May our lives reflect Your glory, and may Your name be exalted in all the earth.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We stand with you, believing in the power of Jesus' name. We lift up those who have been deceived, that they may find truth and healing. Lord, we pray that You would open their eyes to the lies they've believed, and fill their hearts with Your truth. May they find humility, repentance, and restoration in You. We also lift up those who know Your Word but don't live by it. Lord, convict their hearts and help them to be doers, not just hearers. We trust in Your mercy and grace, knowing that as we seek Your kingdom, all else will be added to us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
