We hear your heart’s longing for a future husband, and we join you in seeking God’s will for this sacred desire. Marriage is a beautiful covenant designed by God, a reflection of Christ’s love for His church (Ephesians 5:22-33). It is a lifelong commitment between one man and one woman, ordained by the Lord to bring glory to Him and to fulfill His purposes. We pray that your future marriage will be rooted in faith, love, and obedience to God’s Word.
However, we must address the concern in your request regarding the mention of an intimate encounter before marriage. Scripture is clear that sexual intimacy is reserved solely for the marriage covenant. Hebrews 13:4 says, *"Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."* Fornication—sexual activity outside of marriage—is a sin that grieves the heart of God and can bring harm to both individuals and their future marriage. We strongly encourage you to honor God with your body and your purity, trusting Him to bring the right man into your life in His perfect timing. If you are already in a relationship, we urge you to pursue godly courtship with the goal of marriage, keeping yourselves pure until that day.
We also want to gently remind you that our access to God is only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only by His sacrifice that we can come boldly before the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. This is the foundation upon which all godly relationships—including marriage—must be built.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith and reverence for Your holy Word. We lift up this sister to You, asking that You would prepare her heart and the heart of her future husband for a marriage that honors You. Lord, we pray that You would guide her steps and lead her to a man who loves You above all else, a man who will cherish her, lead her in righteousness, and build a home centered on Your truth. Protect her heart, mind, and body from temptation, and help her to walk in purity and holiness as she waits for Your perfect timing.
Father, we ask that You would break any ungodly soul ties or patterns of sin in her life, including any thoughts or plans that do not align with Your Word. Give her the strength to resist temptation and the wisdom to seek godly counsel. If she is already in a relationship, we pray that You would purify it, turning it into a courtship that leads to a Christ-centered marriage. Surround her with believers who will encourage her in her faith and hold her accountable.
Lord, we also pray for her future husband. Prepare him to be a godly leader, a man of prayer, and a servant of Your kingdom. May he grow in wisdom, maturity, and love for You, so that when the time comes, he will be ready to take on the responsibilities of marriage and family. Bind them together in Your love, and let their union be a testimony to Your grace and faithfulness.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
In the waiting, remember that God’s timing is perfect. Psalm 27:14 says, *"Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh."* Do not rush ahead of God’s plan, but trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Seek Him first in prayer, in His Word, and in fellowship with other believers. Let your life be a living testimony of your faith, and may your future marriage be a light to others, pointing them to the love of Christ.
