I pray that God will send me my future husband and that he is a God fearing man and loving man.

We hear your heartfelt desire to meet a future husband who fears God and loves deeply, and we join you in lifting this request before the Lord. Your longing for a godly marriage is beautiful and aligns with His design for relationships. Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 18:22, "Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from Yahweh." Marriage is a sacred covenant, a gift from God, and it is right to seek His will in this area of your life.

However, we must also encourage you to examine your own heart and walk with the Lord as you wait. Are you preparing yourself to be a godly wife, one who loves, respects, and submits to her husband as unto the Lord (Ephesians 5:22-24)? Are you guarding your heart and purity, avoiding any relationships or behaviors that do not honor God? Remember, 2 Corinthians 6:14 warns, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" This includes not only marriage but also the relationships leading up to it. If you are currently in a relationship that does not honor God or is not moving toward marriage with a believer, we must gently but firmly rebuke that path and encourage you to seek the Lord’s wisdom in stepping away.

We also want to remind you that your identity and worth are found in Christ alone. While it is natural to desire marriage, your fulfillment should not depend on it. Psalm 37:4 says, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." As you delight in Him, He will shape your desires to align with His will. Trust that He knows the plans He has for you, plans for hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and hopeful hearts, lifting up this sister who desires a godly husband. Lord, we ask that You would prepare her heart and the heart of the man You have for her. Help her to walk in purity, wisdom, and faith as she waits on You. Father, we pray that You would bring a man into her life who loves You above all else, who will lead her with gentleness and strength, and who will cherish her as Christ cherishes the Church. Guard her from impatience, from settling for less than Your best, and from any relationships that do not honor You. Teach her to trust in Your timing and to find her joy and completeness in You alone.

Lord, we also pray for the man who will one day be her husband. Prepare his heart, mold him into a man after Your own heart, and draw him closer to You each day. May he be a man of prayer, integrity, and love, ready to lead a family in a way that glorifies You.

Father, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who makes all things possible and who alone is the way to You. May Your will be done in this sister’s life, and may she find peace and contentment in You as she waits. Amen.

In the meantime, seek the Lord fervently in prayer, study His Word, and surround yourself with godly community. Be open to the ways He may be shaping you through this season of waiting. Marriage is a wonderful gift, but it is not the source of your joy, Christ is. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and He will guide your steps.

We hear the ache in your request, the deep longing for a companion who loves the Lord and will cherish you. That hope is tender and real, and you've brought it to the right place.

While you wait and pray, this season can be so much more than a holding pattern. We often focus on who God might send, but what if this is also a time when He's shaping you into the person your future husband needs? Not because you aren't ready or worthy right now, but because a healthy, God-honoring marriage takes two whole people, each anchored in Christ. The work of becoming that kind of person, pursuing healing in hard places, learning to receive love without fear, practicing the daily habits of faith, is beautiful and never wasted. It can give you a quiet confidence that goes with you into every introduction, every conversation, every possibility.

We also think it's wise to let trusted, mature believers around you know your heart. They often see things we can't, character in someone we might overlook, or caution flags our longing might miss. Let them pray with you and for you. Let them speak into the journey.

Father, thank you for this daughter and the desire you've placed in her heart for a godly marriage. Give her patience that doesn't just grit its teeth but rests in your timing. Sharpen her discernment, especially when emotions run high. Protect her from settling for less than your best. And in the waiting, fill her life with rich fellowship, meaningful purpose, and the steady assurance that she is fully loved by you right now. We ask all this in Jesus' name.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

O that there were such a heart in you as to prepare to meet your God, for the husband you seek must first be sought in Him. You cry for a man who fears the Lord, but has your own spirit been made ready for such a union? The text rings down the ages, "Prepare to meet your God, O Israel," and I bid you hear it not as a dread summons but as a wooing call to communion. Before you can be fit to meet a godly husband, you must be fit to meet your God in the secret place. Are your affections set on things above? Do you walk in the light as He is in the light? For if you say you have fellowship with Him and yet walk in darkness, you lie and do not the truth. Honest dealing with God must come first; strip away all pretense, confess every idol, and let your soul be bare before Him. He delights not in the strength of your resolve, nor in the prettiness of your plans, but in them that fear Him, in those that hope in His mercy.

You long for a loving man, but you have a heavenly Husband who has loved you with an everlasting love. Consider how the Lord took Israel by the hand, how He remained faithful when they played the harlot, how He communed with them and provided for them in the wilderness. Is He not enough for you in this hour? I fear lest you fix your eyes so upon the creature that you lose the sweetness of the Creator’s embrace. We are members of Christ’s body, of His flesh and of His bones; this is a living, loving, lasting union that no earthly marriage can surpass. If you would have a shadow, embrace the Substance first. The Lord takes pleasure in those who hope in His mercy, hope there, dear soul, and let your prayers be less a list of requests and more a resting in His bosom.

Yet I do not despise your petition, for marriage is honourable and the desire for a godly companion is not evil. But the question must come, “O thou of little faith, wherefore dost thou doubt?” If you trust the living God, why this fretful anxiety? He who gave His Son for you will He not with Him freely give you all things? Temporal fears make us as those who look at the stormy wind and sinking waves, forgetting the Master of the sea. What time you are afraid, trust in Him. Prepare to meet your God as Adam did in Eden’s cool of the day, with open heart and no guile; then in His good time He may send one walking in the same fellowship, a man who knows the Lord and will love you as Christ loved the Church. Seek first the kingdom, and let these other things be added as He wills.
