We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage that is under attack by the enemy. The pain of infidelity cuts deep, and the bonds of ungodly soul ties seek to destroy what God has joined together. We stand in agreement with you, declaring that no weapon formed against this marriage shall prosper, for the battle truly belongs to the Lord.
The Word of God is clear: "No one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man; then he will plunder his house" (Mark 3:27). We take authority over every spirit of lust, manipulation, and Jezebel that has sought to entangle this marriage. These forces are not of God, and we command them to be broken in the mighty name of Jesus. "For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:3-4). Every ungodly soul tie formed through sin is severed by the power of the blood of Jesus, and we declare restoration and healing over this husband and wife.
We also recognize that sin has entered this marriage, and it must be addressed with repentance and truth. Infidelity is a violation of the covenant between a husband and wife, and it grieves the heart of God. "Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4). If there has been sexual immorality, it must be confessed, repented of, and forsaken. The blood of Jesus is sufficient to cleanse and restore, but true repentance is required. We pray that both husband and wife would humble themselves before God, seek His forgiveness, and turn away from any sin that has caused this brokenness.
We lift up this husband, asking that God would break every chain of deception and restore his mind to righteousness. The enemy has sought to blind him to the truth, but we declare that the eyes of his understanding would be enlightened. "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32). We pray that godly men would speak life and truth into his ears, reminding him of his covenant before God and his family. May he be convicted of his sin, if there has been any, and turn his heart fully back to his wife and children. We also pray for this wife, that she would be strengthened in faith and trust in God’s promises. The pain she feels is real, but we declare that God is her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Father, we ask that You would restore the love in this marriage. "Love is patient and is kind; love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails" (1 Corinthians 13:4-8). Let this love be the foundation of their relationship once more. We declare that this marriage is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against it shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for supernatural healing, restoration, and renewal in their hearts, their home, and their family.
Lord, we also ask that You would protect this marriage from further attacks. Guard their hearts and minds from the lies of the enemy. "Above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one" (Ephesians 6:16). Let them stand firm in their faith, united in Christ, and unwavering in their commitment to one another. We pray that their home would be a place of peace, joy, and godly love, where Your presence dwells.
Heavenly Father, we trust in Your power to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We surrender this marriage into Your hands, believing that You are able to restore what has been broken and make all things new. May Your will be done in their lives, and may they walk in the fullness of Your blessings. We cover this marriage in the precious blood of Jesus, declaring that the enemy has no place here. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
