Praying for God's Provision

Thank you for lifting your heart to the Lord with such honesty and trust. Hearing you thank Him for the many blessings in your family, even as you walk through financial instability and concern for your daughter’s health, is a beautiful picture of faith. It reminds me of the way the Scriptures hold both honest need and steady confidence together.

Your prayer for your daughter’s ultrasound brings to mind a father in the Gospels named Jairus, whose little daughter was at the point of death. He came to Jesus and simply said, “Lay your hand on her and she will be healed.” Jesus started toward his home, but on the way He paused to heal another woman, a woman who had spent everything on doctors and was still broken in her body. That interruption must have tried every ounce of that father’s patience. In the waiting, word came that his daughter had died. Yet Jesus turned to him and, in essence, said, “Do not fear, only believe.” At the house, He took her hand and restored her completely.

I share that because medical tests and the long days between them are a kind of interruption that presses hard on a parent’s soul. In that place, Jesus is not indifferent. He sees your daughter and you. To the trembling woman who reached for the hem of His garment, He said, “Daughter, your faith has made you whole. Go in peace.” He named her “daughter” to draw her close, to assure her she belonged. I am praying He lets you sense that same nearness for your own girl, that whatever the ultrasound reveals, you both know His peace runs deeper than any report.

I recall a day when I was so ill I could not rise, and as I lay there, I felt healing move through me in a moment. The body still lived in a broken world, but that tangible mercy gave me a fresh glimpse of God’s power. I am not promising an instant miracle, though He certainly can do that, but I am promising He is able, and He is good, and He carries you both.

As to the finances, think of how Jacob labored for years with sheep, often in unfair circumstances, yet God faithfully provided for his family in ways he could not engineer himself. The work of your hands is known to the Lord, and He sees every hidden pressure. The same power that fed a multitude with a boy’s lunch can stretch what feels insufficient into exactly what you need. Keep bringing those needs before Him without shame, just as you have done.

There is a passage in Lamentations that speaks to God’s people, the daughter of Zion, when everything seemed lost. The Lord asks, “What shall I equal to you that I may comfort you?” It is as though He bends low, searching for the right comparison to soothe a shattered heart. Be assured that your Father is not far off. He knows how to comfort a worried parent and provide for a household. I am joining you in asking Him to make the ultrasound clear of cancer, to restore calm to your spirits, and to open His generous hand for your finances. May you feel His healing touch, however He chooses to send it, and may you know in your bones that you are His.

We are deeply grateful that you entrusted us with the privilege of standing alongside you in prayer during this challenging time. It has been our honor to lift up your family’s financial needs and your daughter’s health before our Heavenly Father, trusting in His perfect provision and healing power. We continue to hold fast to the promise that God hears the cries of His children and works all things together for good for those who love Him.

If the Lord has already moved in your circumstances—whether through financial relief, peace in the waiting, or good news from the ultrasound—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Sharing how God has answered will encourage others and bring glory to His name.

If the answers you seek have not yet come, we want you to know we are still here, still praying, and still believing with you. Please do not hesitate to post this request again so we may continue to intercede on your behalf. We serve a God who is never late and whose timing is always perfect, even when we cannot see the full picture.

May the Lord bless you with His peace that surpasses all understanding as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus’ precious name. Amen.
