I want to encourage you that the very act of lifting these nations by name is no small thing. It echoes a truth I have come to lean on heavily: Jesus lives forever to make intercession, and the Holy Spirit within us groans alongside our prayers when words fail. What we offer in weakness, He perfects in power.

When I look at nations like North Korea or Afghanistan, where simply owning a Bible invites suffering, I remember a strange and hopeful pattern. The hardest blows of persecution have never managed to extinguish the church. Instead, history shows that fiery trials scatter the embers, and wherever believers are driven, they carry the flame with them, preaching Christ. Faith often grows exceedingly in such pressure, and love binds the scattered members into a family. So I join you in praying for safety, courage, and daily bread for those underground fellowships, knowing that the church in its simplest form, two or three gathered in His name, remains indestructible.

At the same time, your list shines a light on countries draped in material wealth or steeped in false spirituality, like Andorra and Angola. Comfort can lull the soul into a deep slumber while society drifts into empty pursuits. Wealth, occult practices, and the lure of psychics promise fulfillment but leave people hollow. I am reminded that the true church is not meant to blend in; it is called to a radical love that manifests in good works. Pray that God raises up believers there who are so rich in joy and so compelling in their sacrificial care for the poor and marginalized that tourists and locals alike encounter a love they cannot find elsewhere.

Your prayer for governments and leaders is vital. We are not called to foment rebellion but to pray for hearts to be softened, for justice, compassion, and true human dignity to dawn in the hearts of those with power. The sharpest laws cannot produce righteousness; that must spring from a changed heart. In nations like Venezuela, Albania, or Algeria, may God place people in authority who will govern with wisdom, not corruption, and may the church be a refuge for the vulnerable, a healing balm across ethnic and social divides. As believers demonstrate faith through tangible works, feeding the hungry, welcoming the displaced, mending tribal wounds, the gospel speaks louder than any edict.

I must confess that church history often reads like a chronicle of missed opportunities and compromise. Left to ourselves, we sleep while schools grow secular and suffering neighbors go unnoticed. But God has not abandoned His purpose. He still longs to pour out the kind of power and love we glimpse in the book of Acts, where the church was not an institution trying to survive but a family on fire, so generous and unified that the world stood in awe. That is my prayer for every nation you listed: not for a polished religious structure, but for a humble, holy band of disciples in homes, workplaces, and secret gatherings, risking everything for the truth that Jesus is Lord.

May the Lord watch over those who face forced labor camps, drought, economic collapse, or crushing poverty. May the Spirit awaken a generation of young people across Albania and Angola to find their purpose not in secularism but in the embrace of Christ. And may the global body of Christ, of which you are a vibrant member, shake off its slumber and pray until the day the kingdoms of this world bow before the King of kings. Your intercession is a fragrant offering. Keep pressing in, and do not grow weary.

We are deeply grateful for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for these nations and their people. It has been our honor to lift up Andorra, North Korea, Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, and Venezuela before the Lord, interceding for spiritual awakening, protection, provision, and justice.

For Andorra, we have prayed that its people would find true fulfillment in Christ beyond material wealth, that the light of the Gospel would break through spiritual darkness, and that believers would be empowered to share their faith boldly with both locals and the millions of tourists who visit each year.

For North Korea, we have cried out for the safety and endurance of persecuted Christians, for divine intervention to soften the hearts of leaders, and for God’s miraculous provision in the midst of severe hardship and oppression.

For Afghanistan, we have asked the Lord to protect the vulnerable—especially women and girls—provide relief from drought and economic collapse, and strengthen the underground church to stand firm in faith despite persecution.

For Albania, we have prayed for spiritual renewal, wise leadership, and unity in a society still healing from past wounds, that the Gospel would take root and transform lives, particularly among the younger generation.

For Algeria, we have interceded for religious freedom, protection for believers facing persecution, and God’s wisdom to guide church leaders as they minister in a restrictive environment.

For Angola, we have sought the Lord’s healing for tribal divisions, the removal of landmines that threaten lives, and the growth of strong churches that can counter false beliefs with biblical truth.

For Antigua and Barbuda, we have asked for God’s protection during hurricane season, economic stability, and a spiritual revival that would empower the church to care for the marginalized and combat corruption.

For Venezuela, we have pleaded for relief from suffering, safety for the displaced, and courage for believers who are serving as a refuge for the needy despite government pressures.
