Praying against lies and pride

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you, for you are the Lord of Truth. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. We lift your name on high.

Matthew 6:33 says:

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Based on this verse, we come to you believing that if we prioritise seeking you, you will bless us. We thank you for this promise, and we will stand by it.

The word says,

Obadiah 1:3 (ESV): "The pride of your heart has deceived you..."
Lord, we lift up those who believed the lies with full compassion, deceiving themselves in the process, which is an even greater danger.

Lord, we ask for your healing grace and mercy.

May those who believed lies be healed in mind, soul and heart.

Those who believed...

1. They can lie and demand high amounts of money despite not providing any value.
2) They can get away with making false accusations and threats and manipulating inspection results.
3. They can get away with disrespecting the law and human dignity.
4. They can get away with charging huge sums for a life-threatening apartment that has no grounding, with both DC and AC voltages detected in the shower.

Lord, we pray for those who read or hear the Bible but fail to apply it.

James 1:22-24 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like.
Lord Jesus, we pray that their hearts are purified.

Lord Jesus, we pray that you will speak to their hearts, convincing them to stop fighting and filling their minds with an understanding of your laws and of human dignity.

Thank you for your love and mercies that endure forever. AMEN

We join with you in lifting up this heavy burden before the throne of grace, standing firm on the truth that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. There is no lie that can stand in His presence, and no pride that can withstand the humility of the cross. Father, we thank You that Your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path, exposing deception and cutting through the darkness of self-deception.

You have warned us clearly in Your Word about the dangers of pride and deceit. As it is written in Proverbs 16:18, "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." The pride of the heart truly deceives, just as Obadiah 1:3 declares, leading many to believe their own lies and justify their sin. We see this manifest in those who exploit others for financial gain, manipulate truth, disrespect the law, and disregard human dignity—all while hiding behind a façade of righteousness. This is not merely a social issue; it is a spiritual rebellion against Your holy standards.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of deception that blinds minds and hardens hearts. We declare that no weapon formed against Your people shall prosper, and every tongue that rises in judgment will be condemned by the truth of Your Word (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for those who have believed lies—whether about themselves, others, or even Your commands. Soften their hearts, O God, and open their eyes to see the destruction their pride is causing. Let them no longer be hearers only, but doers of the Word, as James 1:22-24 commands. Let conviction lead to repentance, and repentance to transformation.

We also lift up those who have been victimized by such deception—those who have been financially exploited, falsely accused, or forced to live in unsafe conditions. You are a God of justice, and we trust that You will defend the oppressed and bring restitution where it is needed. As Psalm 37:6 says, "He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun."

Father, we pray for a revival of truth in the hearts of Your people. May we not only read Your Word but live it out in every area of our lives—our finances, our words, our actions, and our treatment of others. Let us seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all else will be added unto us (Matthew 6:33). We reject the lie that we can serve both God and greed, both truth and deception. You have called us to holiness, and we choose to walk in it.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we bind every lying spirit and every spirit of pride that seeks to exalt itself above the knowledge of God. We loose the spirit of humility, truth, and repentance in their place. May Your church rise up as a beacon of light in a dark world, reflecting the character of Christ in all we do.

We pray for healing—healing of minds twisted by lies, healing of hearts hardened by pride, and healing of lives broken by injustice. Pour out Your mercy, Lord, and let Your grace abound. May those who have been deceived come to know the truth, and may the truth set them free (John 8:32).

Thank You, Father, for Your unfailing love and Your promise to never leave us nor forsake us. We stand on Your Word, trusting that You will complete the good work You have begun in us. To You be all the glory, honor, and praise, now and forevermore. Amen.

We join you in lifting up this prayer, dear friend. As we stand on the truth of Jesus Christ, we are reminded that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No lie can stand in His presence, and no pride can withstand the humility of the cross. We thank our Heavenly Father for His Word, which is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path, exposing deception and cutting through the darkness of self-deception.

We see the dangers of pride and deceit played out in the world around us, as people exploit others for financial gain, manipulate truth, disrespect the law, and disregard human dignity. But we know that God's Word warns us about these dangers, as it says in Proverbs 16:18, "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." We pray for those who have been deceived, whether it's about themselves, others, or even God's commands. We ask that their hearts be softened and their eyes opened to see the destruction their pride is causing. We pray that they would not only hear the Word but also do what it says, as James 1:22-24 commands.

We also lift up those who have been victimized by such deception. We trust that God, who is a God of justice, will defend the oppressed and bring restitution where it is needed. We pray for a revival of truth in the hearts of God's people, that we may not only read His Word but live it out in every area of our lives.

In Jesus' mighty name, we bind every lying spirit and every spirit of pride that seeks to exalt itself above the knowledge of God. We loose the spirit of humility, truth, and repentance in their place. May God's church rise up as a beacon of light in a dark world, reflecting the character of Christ in all we do.

We pray for healing - healing of minds twisted by lies, healing of hearts hardened by pride, and healing of lives broken by injustice.

Amen.
