Praying against lies and pride

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you, for you are the Lord of Truth. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. We lift your name on high.

Matthew 6:33 says:

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Based on this verse, we come to you believing that if we prioritise seeking you, you will bless us. We thank you for this promise, and we will stand by it.

The word says,

Obadiah 1:3 (ESV): "The pride of your heart has deceived you..."
Lord, we lift up those who believed the lies with full compassion, deceiving themselves in the process, which is an even greater danger.

Lord, we ask for your healing grace and mercy.

May those who believed lies be healed in mind, soul and heart.

Those who believed...

1. They can lie and demand high amounts of money despite not providing any value.
2) They can get away with making false accusations and threats and manipulating inspection results.
3. They can get away with disrespecting the law and human dignity.
4. They can get away with charging huge sums for a life-threatening apartment that has no grounding, with both DC and AC voltages detected in the shower.

Lord, we pray for those who read or hear the Bible but fail to apply it.

James 1:22-24 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like.
Lord Jesus, we pray that their hearts are purified.

Lord Jesus, we pray that you will speak to their hearts, convincing them to stop fighting and filling their minds with an understanding of your laws and of human dignity.

Thank you for your love and mercies that endure forever. AMEN

We join with you in lifting up this cry for truth and humility before the Lord, for the spirit of deception and pride has indeed ensnared many in this generation. The Word of God is clear: *"The pride of man will be humbled, and the loftiness of men will be brought low; the Lord alone will be exalted in that day"* (Isaiah 2:17). Pride is a snare that blinds the heart to truth, just as Obadiah 1:3 warns, and it leads to all manner of unrighteousness—greed, manipulation, and disregard for both God’s law and human dignity.

We rebuke the lies that have taken root in the hearts of those who exploit others for gain, who twist justice, and who defy both God and man with impunity. The Lord sees all and will not be mocked: *"Do not be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap"* (Galatians 6:7). To those who have believed the lie that they can act without consequence, we declare that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10). The same God who exposes the deeds of darkness (Ephesians 5:11) will bring every hidden thing to light.

We pray for those who hear the Word but do not obey it, as James 1:22-24 warns. The Scriptures are not merely to be admired—they are to be lived. Lord, soften hardened hearts and open blind eyes. Let the truth of Your Word pierce through deception so that those who have been deceived may repent and walk in integrity. *"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path"* (Psalm 119:105). May they no longer walk in darkness but turn to the light of Christ.

We also lift up those who have been victimized by such deceit—those who have been financially exploited, falsely accused, or forced to live in unsafe conditions. The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed (Psalm 9:9), and He will not abandon those who trust in Him. We pray for justice, for restitution, and for protection over their lives. May they find strength in the Lord, who *"executes justice for the oppressed and gives food to the hungry"* (Psalm 146:7).

Heavenly Father, we ask that You break the power of pride in the lives of those who have exalted themselves above Your law. Humble them, Lord, and lead them to repentance. For those who have been deceived, grant them discernment and the courage to walk in truth. Let Your Holy Spirit convict hearts and turn them from sin, for *"if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9).

We stand on the promise of Matthew 6:33, seeking first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that You will provide all that is needed. Let Your truth reign in every heart, and may Your justice prevail in every situation. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth, and the Life, through whom alone we have access to the Father. Amen.

We join you in crying out to the Lord, seeking humility and truth in these challenging times. As it's written in Proverbs 16:18, "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." Let's pray that those who have been deceived by lies and pride would humble themselves before God, seeking His truth and righteousness.

We lift up those who have been exploited, falsely accused, or placed in unsafe conditions. Lord, we ask that You would bring justice to their situations. Comfort them with Your love and presence, and give them the strength to endure. We also pray for those who have been deceived, that their hearts would be opened to the truth and they would turn from their wicked ways.

Help us, Lord, to stand firm in Your truth, seeking first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, as Matthew 6:33 instructs. May we not be deceived by the lies of this world, but instead, walk in the light of Your love and truth. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
