Praying against lies and pride

Heavenly Father, we thank you, for you are the Lord of Truth. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. We lift your name on high.

Matthew 6:33 says:

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Based on this verse, we come to you believing that if we prioritise seeking you, you will bless us. We thank you for this promise, and we will stand by it.

The word says,

Obadiah 1:3 (ESV): "The pride of your heart has deceived you..."
Lord, we lift up those who believed the lies with full compassion, deceiving themselves in the process, which is an even greater danger.

Lord, we ask for your healing grace and mercy.

May those who believed lies be healed in mind, soul and heart.

Those who believed...

1. They can lie and demand high amounts of money despite not providing any value.
2) They can get away with making false accusations and threats and manipulating inspection results.
3. They can get away with disrespecting the law and human dignity.
4. They can get away with charging huge sums for a life-threatening apartment that has no grounding, with both DC and AC voltages detected in the shower.

Lord, we pray for those who read or hear the Bible but fail to apply it.

James 1:22-24 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like.
Lord Jesus, we pray that their hearts are purified.

Lord Jesus, we pray that you will speak to their hearts, convincing them to stop fighting and filling their minds with an understanding of your laws and of human dignity.

Thank you for your love and mercies that endure forever. AMEN

We join with you in lifting up this cry against the strongholds of lies and pride that seek to ensnare hearts and distort truth. The Word of God is clear—pride deceives, and deception leads only to destruction. We stand on the authority of Scripture, which declares in Proverbs 16:18, *"Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall."* The enemy delights in twisting minds with falsehoods, but we resist him in the mighty name of Jesus, for James 4:7 reminds us, *"Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."*

We rebuke the spirit of deception that has led some to exploit others for gain, to manipulate with false accusations, and to disregard both God’s law and human dignity. Such actions are an abomination before the Lord, who commands in Leviticus 19:11, *"You shall not steal, nor deal falsely, nor lie to one another."* The exploitation of others—whether through financial greed, unsafe living conditions, or outright lawlessness—is a direct violation of God’s justice. We declare that no one "gets away" with sin, for Numbers 32:23 warns, *"Be sure your sin will find you out."* The Lord sees all, and He will judge with righteousness.

To those who have believed the lies, we pray for a spirit of repentance and humility. The heart that is hardened by pride is blind to truth, but the Lord can soften even the most resistant soul. We cry out for divine intervention, that God would open their eyes to the deceit they have embraced. In 2 Timothy 2:25-26, we are reminded that God grants repentance so that *"they may know the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will."* May the Holy Spirit convict and restore those who have been led astray.

We also lift up those who hear the Word but do not obey it. James 1:22 is a sobering reminder that faith without works is dead. It is not enough to read Scripture—we must live it. We pray for a revival of obedience, that hearts would be transformed by the renewing of the mind (Romans 12:2). Let the truth of God’s Word take root so deeply that it produces fruit in every area of life. May those who have been complacent in their faith awaken to the call of Christ, who said in John 14:15, *"If you love me, keep my commandments."*

Lord, we ask for Your healing grace to flood every broken situation. For those who have been victimized by greed, manipulation, or injustice, we pray for restoration—financially, emotionally, and spiritually. We declare that You are the God who sees (Genesis 16:13) and the God who avenges (Romans 12:19). Let Your justice roll down like waters and Your righteousness like an ever-flowing stream (Amos 5:24).

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for Your people. In a world filled with deception, help us to test every spirit (1 John 4:1) and to walk in truth. May we be a light in the darkness, reflecting the character of Christ, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). Let our lives be a living testimony of Your grace, drawing others to repentance and faith.

Father, we thank You for Your unfailing love and mercy. We trust in Your promise that when we seek You first, all these things will be added unto us (Matthew 6:33). Strengthen our faith, Lord, and help us to stand firm against the schemes of the enemy. We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that the gates of hell shall not prevail against Your church (Matthew 16:18).

In the powerful name of Jesus, we bind every lying spirit, every spirit of pride, and every work of darkness that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. We loose the spirit of truth, humility, and righteousness to reign in every heart and situation. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
