I fell at work and I've been out of work for over 6 weeks. Workman's comp is not paying and everything seems to be falling apart with them. I fill out all the papers that I have to fill out and then they say I need more. Work doesn't want me to come back yet till they release me. I don't claim anything and I keep praying and I know the Lord is in the midst of my situation. I just would like prayers.

We hear your heart in this difficult season and we stand with you in prayer as you walk through this trial of injury, waiting, and financial pressure. We admire your faith as you have said you know the Lord is in the midst of your situation and you continue to pray even when the paperwork and delays feel overwhelming. God sees every form you have filled out, every week without pay, and every disappointment with workman's comp, and He has not left you alone.

We are reminded that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1, and that we are told not to be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Your heavenly Father knows you need provision and healing, and Jesus taught us not to be anxious saying what will we eat or what will we drink, but seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. We also cling to the promise that our God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19 and that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28.

We notice you spoke of the Lord being in the midst, and we want to gently encourage you in this, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved Romans 10:9. So we come to the Father together in the name of Jesus Christ, trusting that His name gives us confidence to bring every burden before the throne of grace.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You see the fall at work, the injury to the body, the six weeks away from work, and the stress of workman's comp not yet paying. We ask for Your healing touch upon the body, that You would restore strength and bring complete recovery in Your timing. We ask for Your provision for every financial need while out of work, that You would open doors and move upon those handling the paperwork to act with fairness and speed. We ask for favor with the employer, for wisdom and patience to endure the waiting until the doctors release, and for peace that guards the heart when things seem to be falling apart. Help our dear one to rest in You and not grow weary, knowing You will not leave nor forsake us Deuteronomy 31:6. Give wisdom to keep careful records, to act honestly and diligently, and if needed to seek wise and godly counsel to navigate the workman's comp process. Let this trial produce perseverance and hope, knowing that You are working even in the delays. We thank You that You are near to the brokenhearted and that You hear our prayers when we come in the name of Jesus. Amen.

We encourage you to keep casting your cares upon Him, continuing in prayer and thanksgiving even as you wait. Keep walking honestly before God and before your employer, keep copies of all you submit, and continue to follow medical guidance so your healing is complete before you return. Do not lose heart, for God is faithful and He is your provider even when systems fail. We are praying that God will bring a swift and just resolution, a full recovery, and a peaceful return to work in His perfect timing, and that through this you will see His hand of provision and comfort more clearly than ever.

We have been thinking about you since reading your note. More than six weeks off after a fall at work, wanting to get back but being told you cannot return until you are released, and then the workers comp process that keeps asking for one more form after you have done everything asked, is a lot to carry. It makes sense you feel like things are falling apart, even as you keep praying and trusting the Lord is in the midst of it.

We admire that steady trust in a season where the stress just does not let up. When pressure is prolonged with no real recovery time, it can leave you tired in body and spirit, so please be gentle with yourself while you wait.

A small step that has helped others caught in the same kind of paperwork loop is to keep one folder with a copy of everything you send, the date you sent it and the name of anyone you speak with, and to ask for a single written list of what is still outstanding so you are not chasing new requests one at a time. If the financial pressure is growing, a trusted contact in HR or a local church or community agency that offers budgeting help can sometimes walk alongside you to sort the next priorities.

Father, we lift this need to You. You see the injury, the waiting, and the worry over provision. Give clarity in each conversation, wisdom for the next form to complete, provision for daily needs, and healing according to Your will. Let Your nearness be felt in this waiting. Your burden has been laid before us and we have carried it to the throne of grace on your behalf. We have heard how you fell at work and have now been out these six weeks, how the provision that should have come through workman's compensation has not come, how every paper you fill only calls for another, and how your place of work will not receive you again until you are released. It is a weary trial when the body is hurt and the means of daily bread seems to be withheld, and we do not make light of it.

You write that you keep praying and that you know the Lord is in the midst of your situation. Hold fast to that knowledge, for it is precious truth. The Psalmist said, I have declared my ways and You heard me. The believer recognizes God everywhere and has communion with Him wherever he goes, and He hears the prayer that is poured out before Him. Though clouds may surround you, your God is your light. Though storms rage around you, your God is your might. He is not only the God of the hills in days of health and strength and plenty, but the God of the valleys also, and He is as able to help you in this low place of pain and waiting as in any former high place of prosperity.

Now is the time to exercise faith upon a living God. Your God is not worth having if He cannot help you when you want help. He pleads the cause of His people, and He will plead your cause. Remember that where God begins a good work, He does not ask you to finish it. He always completes His own work. If you are His through trust in the blood of Jesus Christ, then you may take Him at His word with true humility, and know that He who has saved your soul will not forsake your body or your daily needs. Those that have trusted in God find Him to be as real as if they could see Him.

Do not give up prayer, even when answers seem delayed and papers multiply and doors remain closed. If you think God has left you, pray the more earnestly as our Lord Himself prayed, My God, My God, and draw near again and again. He will teach you His statutes and show you His way step by step.

We pray for you now, that the Lord our God would lay His healing hand upon your body and restore you in His own time, that He would provide for you day by day as your Father who knows your need, that He would give you wisdom and patience in all the dealings with those who administer these payments, that He would grant favor where there has been frustration and make the crooked places plain, and that He would keep your heart in present peace while you wait, rejoicing in hope of His glory. May He keep you honest and patient in all you claim and do, and may He make you to feel that He Himself is your portion and your confidence until this valley is passed.

We will continue to pray that you will be sustained and upheld and brought through this trial to praise Him more.

Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
