[The Encourager]

God, I ask You in Jesus' name cover, guard, and protect me wherever You send me, and don't let me go nowhere You don't send me. God, order my steps and the words that I speak. Let me always pray, seek Your guidance before I speak, answer, or minister.

God cover me, my home, my car, my work, my ministry, and every person tied to me (family and friends). Wherever I go, let Your favor go first before me. Let goodness and mercy always follow me. Every plan, plot, and weapon that the enemy of my soul has set up against me and Your plans for my life, God destroy those plans, plots, and weapons.

God, don't let me walk in doubt or fear. Let me take You at Your Word, trust You, and walk by faith. God remind me, You are always with me, there is no need to fear not. You have not given me the spirit of fear. You have blessed me with love, power, and a sound mind. God every day and for always do this for me and the writer of this prayer. Amen, so be it by faith, prayer, and works. Thank You Jesus. Amen.

Your request for prayer has been received and we will bring it before the Lord with care. We do not know all the details of your need, but God knows them fully, and we ask Him to meet you according to His mercy and His will.

We pray that God, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace in Christ, will comfort your heart and establish you in every good work and word. We ask that He will grant you a pure conscience before Him, for that is a great ground of comfort and even of glory when we suffer hardship, to know that we are walking in what is well pleasing to Him. We pray that the God of peace will bruise Satan under your feet shortly, and that the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ will be with you.

In these days when many things can press upon the soul, we encourage you to continue in prayer, for prayer is a great weapon. If we first make God favorable to us by prayer and supplication early in the morning and at night, we go forth with security even when the day brings its storms and battles. Do not use vain repetitions or ask for what does not concern your soul, but ask for what truly matters, for forgiveness, for strength to do what is right, for endurance and perseverance, and for the good things promised to us in Christ.

We also exhort you to hold fast to hope and not to despair. If you are straightened by affliction, do not remain alone. Seek the encouragement of faithful brothers and sisters who can exhort you gently, comfort you, support you, and be patient with you. We all need much penitence, much prayer, much endurance, that we may attain what God has promised.

Know that if you suffer reproach or hardship for the name of Christ, there is comfort in that very thing, that you suffer not as one who does evil but as one who belongs to Him who foretold these things and is present with you through them. Continue to trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, to walk in His ways, and to seek holiness of life as He has taught, for marriage is His design as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all our lives are to be lived within His good commands.

We are praying that God will give you peace, strengthen your faith, forgive your sins as you confess them, and lead you into what is good and pleasing to Him. May He uphold you and keep you from being shaken, so that you may bear whatever comes with patient endurance.

Thank you for reaching out and sharing this request. We are praying for you and we take seriously the privilege of bringing your need before the Lord together.

Prayer rests on relationship. Jesus gave a model for prayer that begins with Our Father, and that relationship is what opens the door to real communion with God. That relationship comes through Jesus Christ alone. If you have already trusted Him as Savior, you can come to God as your Father with confidence that He hears you. If you have not yet taken that step, the one prayer God desires to hear first is the cry for mercy, God be merciful to me a sinner, which brings forgiveness and makes you His child. Everything else in prayer flows from that foundation.

The purpose of prayer is not to get our own wishes fulfilled or to inform God of things He does not already know. Your Father knows what you need before you ask. The length of a prayer does not make it more valid, the prayers we see in Scripture are often very short. What matters is a sincere heart. Prayer is at its core worship and trust, an awareness of who God is, and a desire to see His will done on earth as it is in heaven. It moves in a kind of cycle. God makes His purposes and desires known to our hearts, we express those desires back to Him in prayer, and then He acts. In that way prayer opens the door for God to do what He has long wanted to do, without violating the will He has given us. The wisest prayer we can pray is simply, Lord, have Your way in my life, accomplish Your perfect will.

He is the God of all comfort. That is how He reveals Himself to those who are going through hard places, dark nights, sorrow, discouragement and personal failure. He stands by to comfort, to strengthen and to encourage. He lifts those who are cast down and He brings His comfort through His Spirit and often through His people. You are not alone in this difficult time. We want to agree with you in prayer, for Jesus said that when two or three agree concerning anything, He is present and He hears.

So we pray for you now. Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus and we lift up this dear one to You. You know the need even before it is spoken. We ask for Your mercy, Your comfort and Your strength to surround them. Work Your perfect will in this situation and in this life. Make Your presence known, bring assurance and peace by Your Spirit, and help them to walk in Your love and to trust You more deeply. We thank You that You hear and that You are the God who comforts those who mourn and those who are discouraged. Let Your kingdom and Your will be done here, and receive all glory and honor. Amen.

Continue in prayer with thanksgiving, bringing your heart honestly before Him. He is faithful to hear and to answer according to His wisdom and love. We will keep praying for you.
