Please pray that she goes & makes something of herself. My ### yr old had ### & ###. He struggles in school. Please pray for clarity & discernment for him. My ### yr old seems ok, but please pray he stays grounded. In Jesus name Amen

We lift your family before the Lord with heavy and hopeful hearts, seeking His perfect will for each of your children. Father, we know the deep love of a parent’s heart, how it aches with both pride and worry, how it longs to see children walk in wisdom and purpose. Your Word tells us, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6). We ask that You would guide your daughter and sons into the paths You have prepared for them, paths of righteousness, provision, and peace.

For your daughter, Lord, we pray for clarity and courage. It is clear you desire stability and security for her, and we ask that You would open her eyes to the opportunities before her, whether in the army or another path You have ordained. But we must also speak truth in love: her relationship with her boyfriend must be examined in light of Your Word. If he is not leading her toward Christ, if their bond is rooted in worldly affection rather than godly commitment, it may be a stumbling block to her future. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). We pray she would seek a spouse who fears You, who will encourage her faith and share in her calling, rather than one who may hold her back. If marriage is not the immediate goal, we ask that she would honor You with her body and her heart, reserving intimacy for the covenant of marriage as You designed.

Father, we also lift up your son who struggles in school. Grant him focus, discipline, and the confidence that comes from knowing his worth is not defined by academic success but by Your love. "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope" (Jeremiah 29:11). May he find his identity in Christ and the strength to persevere.

For your youngest, we pray for protection over his heart and mind. In a world that pulls young men in so many directions, keep him grounded in Your truth. "Let your eyes look straight ahead. Fix your gaze directly before you. Make level the path for your feet, and all your ways will be sure" (Proverbs 4:25-26). Surround him with godly influences and a hunger for Your Word.

Lord, we also ask that You would soften hearts in this family to Your leading. Parenting is a sacred trust, and while we seek to guide our children, we must also surrender them to Your care. Give wisdom to this parent to speak life, not fear; to encourage, not control. May each of these young lives be a testament to Your faithfulness, and may this family be united in purpose and peace.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, the One who holds every future in His hands. Amen.

We hear the weight in your words, and it’s clear you love your daughter deeply and want a secure future for her. We join you in asking God to guide her steps, but we also want to gently lift up that God’s provision for her independence and stability may not look exactly like what you’ve envisioned. Sometimes a parent’s urgent push toward a specific solution, like the military, can feel so pressing that it leaves little room for a young adult to seek the Lord’s direction for herself. We’re not saying the army isn’t a good path, but we’ve seen that when we press too hard in one direction, it can unintentionally close doors God might have opened elsewhere, like vocational training, a trade, or even a season of clearer personal growth before a major commitment.

As a practical step, perhaps the two of you could sit down and simply ask God together what He wants for her next season. Not a debate, but a shared time of prayer and listening. She may be more open to exploring her future if she feels her own voice and dreams are honored. And while you’re praying, you can also ask for clarity on the insurance challenge, God knows that practical need.

We’re also praying for your ###-year-old son, that God would bring clarity and discernment to his mind, and that any underlying learning struggles would be gently uncovered so he can thrive. For your ###-year-old, we ask the Lord to keep his heart rooted in what is good and true.

_Lord Jesus, we lift this mother and her children to You. Give her peace and patience as she watches her daughter’s next steps. Open doors for her daughter that lead to genuine stability and purpose, and guard her heart from settling for less than Your best. Help this mother trust that You love her daughter even more than she does. Bring clarity and focus to her younger son in school, and steady her older son in the path of life. In Jesus’ name, amen._

You speak of a daughter and an army, yet the true army that you should desire for her is the host of the Lord, that she might march with singing into the battle of life, not trusting in horses and chariots but in the name of the Lord her God. The might that prevails is not the army of men, but the power of the Holy Ghost. Direct all your pleading toward her soul, for if Christ be formed in her, she shall be richer than any soldier's pay could make her, and her steps shall be ordered aright whether she enlists under an earthly banner or not. Do not mistake the means for the end; your own anxiety betrays a heart that is not yet fully weaned from earthly comforts. Remember Sarah, who followed Abraham into a tent-life of discomfort and never murmured; let your soul be even as a weaned child, calm and still, so that your prayers may arise with faith and not with fretfulness.

The young man who struggles in his studies and the son who seems steady, these also need a mother's prayers for a far weightier thing than schoolroom clarity. Cry out for their conversion, that they might be born of the promise, children of faith. Grace does not undo a father's lawful authority, but it teaches us to lay our offspring before the throne and leave them there, not scheming to command their path as if we could shape destiny. Will you trust God with their lives? He who gave His own Son for them knows best how to guide their feet. If you would see them blessed, seek first their citizenship in the army of the redeemed, where discipline is eternal and the Captain never fails.

Now, as for that fear that your daughter must join the army or come to ruin, I bid you look at your own fretful heart. When the believer's soul is like a silly dove without heart, fluttering here and there, the hawk is near. Be calm and wait for your opportunity. The way of faith is often to stand still and see the salvation of God. If the result of doing right were that you lost your daughter's financial ease, yet you must not push her into a course to which God has not called her. Better a humble life with Christ than a full purse without Him. Pray that she and her young man might be drawn to the cross, and then whether she goes into the service or not, you shall praise Him on that glorious shore for the tribulations that taught you both to glorify His name. Let your concern for souls become a master passion, so that you can put your hand on her shoulder and blurt out, "My child, I am concerned for your salvation," for evident love will touch a heart more than a hundred schemes. And when you have thus committed body, soul, and character to the guardian care of the Lord Jesus, you shall yet sing, "Praise the Lord, for His mercy endureth forever."

Father, guide this mother's daughter toward a stable future. Grant her son clarity and wisdom. Keep her youngest grounded. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Let us bring this household before the Lord, not demanding a particular branch of service, but asking for His will and for grace to walk in it.

Almighty God, look upon this parent and these three children. For the daughter, grant a sober mind and a pure heart. Open a door for honorable provision, whether the army or another path, and give her courage to follow wisdom rather than mere attachment. If the young man is not leading her toward godliness, loose that hold. For the son who struggles in school, give clarity, perseverance, and discernment, and let him not despise instruction. For the one who seems all right, keep him grounded in humility and the fear of the Lord. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Do not think only of financial stability, for bodily training profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things. I do not say the army is wrong; I say let her not enter it in panic or under pressure alone, but with a clear conscience. If she is reluctant, pray more for her will to be shaped by God than for her to be forced into the plan you think safest. The years of youth have vehemence of pleasure, and the years after have desire of wealth; each age has its own shipwrecks unless grace steers the vessel.

Nor will I ask God to bless a careless bond with her boyfriend. I will ask God to reveal any sin, to grant repentance, and either to make the young man one who fears the Lord and can offer a wife a stable covenant, or to remove the tie. For the profit of marriage is to keep the body pure, and if there is no purity, there is no advantage. So let us pray for chastity, not for a mere change of circumstances.

For your sons, labor in school is not the whole measure of a life. Honorable age is not length of time, but an unspotted life is old age. Let the one who struggles learn that diligence and the fear of the Lord are the beginning of wisdom, and let the one who seems stable be watched with prayer, for the enemy attacks the unguarded. May the Lord give you, the parent, patience, humility, and trust, that you may not ask in anxiety only, but in faith.
