We hear your cry for protection and deliverance, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of God, who is our refuge and strength. The Bible assures us that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against us in judgment, we shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We take authority in the name of Jesus Christ over every evil force that may be seeking to harm you or disrupt your peace. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every spirit of fear, oppression, and torment that may be lurking around you, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We ask that You surround [] with Your holy angels, that no harm or evil may come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10-11). We plead the blood of Jesus over their life, their home, their possessions, and all that concerns them. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We declare that they are hidden in You, Lord, and that no evil shall befall them, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:9-10).
We also pray for discernment and wisdom for [], that they may recognize the schemes of the enemy and stand firm in their faith. Remind them to put on the full armor of God daily so that they may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). Let them find their strength in You, Lord, for You are their fortress and deliverer (Psalm 18:2). We ask that You fill them with Your Holy Spirit, guiding them in all truth and protecting them from deception (John 16:13).
Father, we ask that You break every chain of darkness that may have attached itself to [] or their belongings. We command every evil spirit assigned against them to flee in the name of Jesus Christ, for He has given us authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). We declare that [] is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Let Your light shine in every dark corner of their life, driving out all fear and oppression.
We also encourage [] to draw near to You, Lord, through prayer, reading Your Word, and fellowship with other believers. The closer we are to You, the farther we are from the enemy’s reach. Remind them that You are a present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1) and that they can cast all their anxieties on You because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Let them find comfort in Your promises and rest in the assurance that You are in control.

Whatever evil seems to assail you, it lies within the fence of Omnipotent overruling. No dark suggestion, no malice of men or devils, can touch a hair of your head unless your Father permits it. If this evil comes apart from Divine permission, where are we? How can a trial be met which is independent of Divine rule? Be comforted: though the enemy prowls, the voice from the excellent Glory rings out, “Deliver him from going down to the pit, for I have found a ransom!” That ransom is Christ Jesus, and He has already broken every chain that would drag you down.
You are not left to the power of darkness. The Father has delivered us from its tyranny and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. No evil can permanently cling to one washed in that precious blood. Yet I would gently warn you: do not view every trouble as a curse launched at you by some wicked hand. The Lord chastens even those He loves sorely; even Job, when Satan struck, said, “Blessed be the name of the Lord.” All your ills bear the aspect of a father’s hand, shaping you, humbling your pride, driving you to the Cross.
Pray then with boldness for deliverance from the guilt and the power of sin, for cleansing not only of the stain but of the life. Let the Lord purge away all residue of the old evil heart of unbelief. And as for your goods and your safety, He who kept David from the archers will keep your dwelling in peace. Your true treasure is hid with Christ, where no spoiler can reach. Rejoice, then, you shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. Stand fast, cling to the Eternal arm, and sing the songs of deliverance even before the morning breaks.

You cry out for evil to depart, for safety for yourself and your goods. Hear this then: always to give thanks, this is the mark of a philosophic soul. Have you suffered any evil? If you will, it is no evil. Give thanks to God, and the evil is changed into good. Say as Job said, "Blessed be the name of the Lord for ever."
What such great thing have you suffered? Disease? Want of possessions? Plots of enemies? It is not we who are injured by these, but they who are the authors of them. The soul that sins, itself shall die. He who is conscious of no evil shall suffer nothing dreadful.
Do not seek merely to escape the thing you dread. God's ways are not like ours. The very things by which we are hurt, by these same are we benefited. Joseph's mistress sought to ruin him, yet her contriving placed him in safety. His prison was gentler than a house with that wild beast. His brothers sold him, yet they freed him from enemies in his own dwelling. When he was in honor, he was in danger; when he was in dishonor, he was in safety.
The ruler of this world, the devil, has power only over those who give themselves up to him. He has nothing in you if you cling to Christ. Your true safety stands not in escaping evil report or affliction, but in noble endurance, and in refuting evil by your actions. To be struck and not hurt is much greater than escaping the blow.
Yet let me ask: where does your fear truly lie? Is it for your body and goods? The love of money is the root of all evil. If your possessions are justly gained and distributed to the poor, they are not bad. But if you alone enjoy what is common, is this not an evil? The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof. The possessions of one Lord are all common. If we belong to one common Lord, our goods belong also to our fellow-servants.
Christ gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us out of this present evil world. He has delivered us from the curse, and promoted us to sonship, that we might receive the adoption. Put on Christ, who is the Son, and you have the Spirit of adoption. Then, whatever befalls, you stand safe. Give thanks, and see the evil changed. Let not your fear drive you to seek only removal, but let your soul rest in God's providence, who orders all things for the good of those who love Him.

There is a kind of safety no talisman, no ritual, and no passive wish can secure. A horse might be made ready for battle, but deliverance itself belongs to the Lord. When you feel that something evil has been sent against you, the deepest part of you is crying out not just for a cleared atmosphere but for the shielding presence of God Himself. And that is exactly where you must anchor your hope.
One of the great snares in a time like this is to begin looking for an evil eye, as if another person’s glance or secret malice can place a hex upon you. Scripture speaks of an evil eye, but it never means a spell cast through a look. It speaks instead of a heart bent toward wickedness, a person whose mind devises mischief. Do not eat the bread of someone consumed by evil, and do not give your imagination over to the fear that their envy holds ultimate power over your life. Their candle will be put out. The evil man has no reward in the end.
What God calls you to is not a strategy for warding off dark energy but a clean break with evil itself. The fear of the Lord is to hate evil. That is the beginning of wisdom, and it is also the beginning of durable safety. Turn away from evil and do good. Refrain your tongue from deceit. Seek peace and chase after it. The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers, but His face is set against those who practice evil. You do not need to return evil for evil or spend your strength trying to recompense someone who has wronged you. Vengeance belongs to God. Wait on Him; He will deliver you.
There is a hollow safety that men chase when they imagine a holy place or a holy object will magically insulate them from harm. Mere proximity to the things of God does nothing if the heart remains compromised. Real protection is not a rabbit’s foot carved from religious language. It is walking in honest fellowship with the Lord, hating what He hates, and trusting that He watches over you for good and not for calamity. Though you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, you need fear no evil. Why? Because He is with you. His presence scatters that dread more thoroughly than any charm ever could.
Evil may stack upon evil in the world around you. The righteous may be spoken against. But it is far better, if God wills it, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. Keep a clear conscience, so that when people falsely accuse you, they will be ashamed by your godly behavior. Do not let the rising darkness tempt you to envy the wicked or adopt their ways. Their hearts study destruction, but a house is built by wisdom and established by understanding. Never partner with the evil you are praying to be delivered from.
Bring the whole matter firmly to God and leave it there. If you try to defend yourself entirely by your own wits and strength, you will find your defenses far too weak. But commit the cause to the Lord. Ask Him to be your deliverer. He knows how to turn aside the evil He has permitted for a season. He alone can say, “I will watch over you to save you and to deliver you.” This is not a prayer into the void. It is the cry of one who trusts not in an amulet, not in luck, not in human schemes, but in the living God who loves righteousness and will not let the wicked ultimately prosper. Stand in that trust, depart from what is evil, and the Very One who taught us to pray, “Deliver us from evil,” will prove Himself faithful.
