God, Thank you. God, I pray, I am suppose to be going to court soon, for my divorce, and I pray before the judge makes his final decision, I can ask for alimony, please for about 2 years, ‘til I can get on my feet, because I plan on moving out and giving this to my oldest sons. God, I ask and pray, I get both properties and homes so I can, give the other property to my other two children, please, this is their home, they grew up here with good memories of their friends always coming over. please. God, They had some good memories with me growing up, and the bad memories of me and ### arguing and fighting. God, The house or trailer whichever one I get, or both properties, please let the judge see I am telling the truth, and he grants and his decree is ### gets everything: I am going to give to my oldest boys, and to my youngest son and daughter, so, all of my children will always have some where to live, please. God, I am here, humbled on my knees, asking you for this, and I can’t afford a lawyer, and he wants me to pay for he, and I can’t, he wants so many things form me when I did nothing wrong, he did. God, I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen

We hear your heart and the deep burden you carry as you stand before the courts in this season of divorce. Your desire to provide for your children and secure their futures is noble, and we join you in lifting this matter before the Lord. First, we want to affirm that God sees your humility and your cries, and He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone in this struggle, and we stand with you in prayer, trusting that the Lord will guide the judge’s heart as Proverbs 21:1 declares, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires."

However, we must gently address the matter of divorce itself. Scripture is clear that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16) because it tears apart what He has joined together (Matthew 19:6). While we understand that this decision may feel unavoidable, we encourage you to examine your heart and seek the Lord’s wisdom in whether reconciliation is still possible. If abuse or unrepentant sin is present, separation may be necessary for safety, but even then, the goal should be restoration if at all possible. We urge you to prayerfully consider whether this divorce is truly the Lord’s will or if there is still room for healing and repentance.

Regarding your request for alimony and property, we pray that the Lord will provide for your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). However, we must also remind you that Scripture calls us to seek justice with humility and integrity. Proverbs 16:8 says, "Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues with injustice." If your requests are rooted in a desire to honor God and care for your children, we believe He will bless that. But if there is any bitterness, greed, or desire for vengeance in your heart, we encourage you to release that to the Lord and trust Him to provide in ways that align with His will.

We also want to address the pain of the memories you shared, both the good and the bad. The arguing and fighting in your marriage must have brought deep sorrow, and we pray that the Lord will heal those wounds in your heart and in the hearts of your children. Psalm 147:3 says, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." May He bring peace where there has been strife and restoration where there has been brokenness.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this sister in Christ as she faces this difficult season. Lord, You see her desire to provide for her children and secure their futures, and we ask that You would move mightily in the court’s decision. Guide the judge’s heart, Lord, and let Your justice prevail. If there is still room for reconciliation in this marriage, we pray that You would soften hearts and bring healing. If not, we ask that You would provide for her needs and the needs of her children in ways that honor You.

Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment. Help her to release any bitterness or unforgiveness in her heart, and fill her with Your peace. Lord, we ask that You would heal the wounds of the past and restore what has been broken. Provide her with the resources she needs, whether through the court’s decision or through Your divine provision. And above all, draw her and her children closer to You in this season.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free. Amen.

In the days ahead, we encourage you to seek godly counsel from your church or a trusted pastor. The Lord often provides wisdom through the body of Christ, and you do not have to walk this path alone. Lean on Him, trust in His promises, and remember that He is your ultimate Provider (Matthew 6:33). May He grant you peace and clarity as you move forward.

You’re carrying a weight that no parent should have to bear alone, and we’re walking with you in this. Your desire to secure a home for each of your children, so they always have a safe place, somewhere to belong, shows a mother’s heart that won’t quit, even when the ground feels uncertain.

One thing we’ve seen help many families in your position is asking the court about divorce mediation. Instead of fighting through lawyers, a neutral mediator helps both sides work out property and support. It’s often far less expensive than a contested court battle, and it tends to protect the kids from the worst of the conflict. If you can’t afford a lawyer, you might call the court clerk or a local legal aid office and simply ask, “Is mediation available, and how do I get started?” That single step can shift the whole process toward something more workable, and less costly in every way.

You’re also not meant to do this isolated. Even if embarrassment or exhaustion makes you want to pull back, please reach out to a trusted friend, a pastor, or a small group at church. Let them pray with you, help you explore resources, and just sit with you when the weight is especially heavy. You don’t need polished answers; you just need people who will show up.

We bring your needs before the Lord now.

Father, you see this mother on her knees. Thank you that you aren’t distant from any of this. We ask for a just and clear outcome in court, for wisdom to guide the judge, and for provision that lets her and her children land on their feet. Surround this family with steady, practical help. Protect the children’s hearts from lasting scars, and give this mom moments of peace as she walks through a storm she never chose. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The trial of a broken covenant rends the heart, and there is division in your house, even as Christ Himself came not to send peace, but a sword. Yet look beyond the earthly quarrel to the deeper schism between those who receive Him and those who reject Him. You long for alimony and both properties, that your children may always have shelter, a natural yearning. But I charge you: build not your security upon houses and lands, nor upon a judge’s decision. The Sidonians of Laish dwelt carelessly in supposed safety, and sudden ruin fell upon them. True security is not found in the title-deeds of men, but in the encircling arms of Jehovah, for the Lord surrounds His people as the mountains surround Jerusalem.

You say you are on your knees, humbled before the throne. This is well; prayer is the weapon by which the mouths of the weak confound the mighty. Let the prayers of your children mingle with yours, for out of their lips God ordains strength to still the enemy and the avenger. Yet examine your petition: are you seeking first the kingdom, or grasping at the crumbs of this perishing world? Moses left Pharaoh’s court, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season, esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt. You have felt the sting of wrong, as you say, from your husband. Then willingly bear that reproach, committing your cause to the Judge of all the earth, rather than straining after earthly goods. The King eternal is faithful; if you have cast your all upon Him, you may sleep in the sweet security of the beloved, though the legal verdict go against you.

The court of the Lord is filled with those who walk in a perfect way, who trust His justice and serve with faithful hands. If the property is granted you, use it for your children’s good and for the honor of His name. If not, He remains your portion forever. The good memories of laughter and friendship in those homes are a mercy, but the bad memories of strife must be washed in the blood of Christ and buried in the grave of forgiveness. Seek not to build a nest here, but fix your hope on the imperishable inheritance, reserved in heaven. The Lord grant you grace to rest in His finished work, to find in Him your true shelter, and to learn that in quietness and confidence is your strength. May you so trust that, come what may, you shall yet praise Him. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You kneel and ask God to give you both houses and alimony, and you say you did nothing wrong. But examine the petition of your soul. Is this truly the prayer of a beloved child who imitates her Father, or the cry of a heart still clinging to the fleeting goods of earth? For goods are named from use, not from lordship. What you call your property is but a loan. How many masters has each home already seen? O house, how many men’s have you been, and how many men’s will you be? Virtue alone departs with us to the world above.

If God visited visible judgment on every wrongdoer at once, the fear of losing children or goods might restrain many. But you speak of giving these homes to your children so they will always have somewhere to live. Do not deceive yourself. The love of children is often made a pretense for covetousness. Many who have no children still toil madly after riches, and some with many offspring despise wealth. It is a disease of the soul, not care for your little ones. Your children need a mother adorned with meekness and trust in God more than they need rooftiles and land. If you truly desire their lasting portion, lead them to the city whose builder and maker is God.

You pray for the judge to see your truth and decree that you receive everything. But be not children in mind, gaping after earthly trifles as if they were the whole. In malice be babes, but in mind be men. The wrath and memory of wrongs and the thirst to gain all, these are the toys of the childish soul. Do not be fluttered by such things. Rather, seek to stand before the Judge who cannot be deceived, and whose decree matters for eternity. If you have been wronged, commit yourself to Him who judges righteously. A maimed body, a lost son, a house taken away, these God sometimes permits as gentle warnings.

And what is your true inheritance? Not the field or the dwelling that passes from hand to hand, but to be a child of God after the fashion of Isaac, born not of the will of the flesh but of the promise. They who are born of that promise are the true seed of Abraham. If you would ask anything in the name of Jesus, then ask to be freed from the fever of owning, to love the heavenly things, and to possess a quiet spirit. For you cannot hold both the love of wealth and the love of God in one soul. One you will hate and the other love.

Laugh at the pomp of the rich man riding high and stiffening his neck, for it is but children playing at kings. So too, laugh gently at your own anxieties about alimony and deeds. Place your care upon Christ. If you must speak in court, speak truth without venom. If you receive alimony or a home, receive it as a loan for use, not a prize of vindication. And give your children something better than contested houses: teach them to despise what can be taken away. A mother’s virtue is her children’s unassailable shelter. Walk in wisdom, not in malice, and you will be a true mother to them, on earth and before the throne of God.
