Your heart has poured out many needs, and the sheer volume of them tells me you are carrying a heavy weight. When so many requests tumble out at once, it can feel like life is spinning in a dozen directions with no center. Going back to the very beginning of wisdom brings the whole picture back into focus. The fear of the Lord is the starting point of true knowledge. That is not the kind of fear that thinks God is waiting to hurt you. It is the reverential love that dreads wounding Him because you belong to Him. When you seek after wisdom with the same energy you would pour into hunting for hidden treasure, you begin to understand that reverential fear. The search for real knowledge always leads to God Himself. Out of His mouth come knowledge and understanding.

That is where the quiet steps you long for can be found. You asked to walk silently and quietly in your home no matter what your husband says. The Scriptures give this promise: whoever listens to the voice of wisdom will dwell safely and be quiet from the fear of evil. That quiet heart is not something your husband controls, and it is not something you manufacture by simply telling yourself to be quiet. It flows from having the Lord as your confidence, so that sudden fear and the daily turbulence of words lose their power to shake you deeply. When your relationship with God is set right on the vertical line, the horizontal relationships begin to find their proper balance.

You have asked repeatedly that the jury and judge would give you both properties and everything for the pain and suffering you have endured. I hear that cry for justice, and I know you feel you have been wronged. The human courts should be places where truth and equity are found, yet so often justice stands far off. But you must remember what justice truly means. Justice means getting what you deserve. If we are honest about our own hearts, none of us can safely stand before a holy God and demand justice. The only safe prayer is mercy: Lord, be merciful to me. You do not need to instruct God on the exact property settlement He should deliver. Your Father already knows what you have need of before you ask Him. Instead of limiting His answer to a specific earthly outcome, you can release the entire tangled situation into His hands. Trust Him with the disposition of the properties. Trust Him with your soon-to-be ex-husband. Your calling is to walk uprightly and leave the secret things to the Lord who judges righteously.

In this same spirit, some of what you have prayed about your personal relationships needs to be brought gently before the light of God's design. You have spoken of wanting to be with a man, of making audio clips to tell him how you feel, and of a relationship where one person wants to stay hidden. You wonder if he is ashamed of you because he will not be seen with you in public. I want you to pause and ask whether these secret encounters match the purity and openness that honor the Lord. Keep yourself pure. The wisdom that leads to life warns against the allure of a hidden affair, even when it feels like love. Your most urgent need is not to secure the affection of this man, or any other, but to secure your own footing in a right relationship with God. When that vertical axis is solid, your use of possessions, your sense of justice, and your heart for relationships all come into a clean alignment.

The same love that hungers for you to know Him also calls you to act and not merely talk. You have prayed, and that is good. Yet there also comes a time when prayer must move into doing. You have spoken of supporting someone in his physical distress, and that is a beautiful desire to show compassion. But let your support be the support of a soul that is clear and undivided, offered in a context that reflects God's order, not one that feeds confusion. Keep seeking Him above all else. The Lord gives wisdom. He stores sound wisdom for the upright. Cry after that understanding. Lift up your voice for it. And as you search for it like silver, you will find the knowledge of God, and with it, the peace that makes a quiet life truly possible.
