We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation with both compassion and a firm commitment to biblical truth. First, we give thanks for the acknowledgment of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in this prayer, this is the foundation of our faith, and we rejoice that the Trinity is being honored. However, we must address the concerns in this request with clarity and love, for Scripture commands us to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15).

The relationship described here raises serious biblical concerns. The mention of "sex and love making" outside of marriage is a direct violation of God’s design for intimacy. The Bible is clear: "Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge" (Hebrews 13:4). Fornication, sexual relations outside of marriage, is sin, and it separates us from God’s best for our lives. We must rebuke this gently but firmly, for the sake of holiness and the protection of both souls involved. If this relationship is to honor God, it must be pursued with purity and a commitment to marriage as the only context for such intimacy.

The emphasis on loyalty over truth is also troubling. Proverbs 27:6 tells us, "Faithful are the wounds of a friend, but the kisses of an enemy are profuse." True friendship, and certainly a godly marriage, must be built on honesty, not blind loyalty. If there are unspoken grievances, they must be addressed with humility and a desire for reconciliation, not buried under fear or silence. We pray for open, honest communication rooted in love and a shared commitment to Christ.

We also note the deep longing for this relationship to be restored and strengthened. While we sympathize with the pain of separation, we must ask: Is this relationship aligned with God’s will? Is it leading both parties closer to Christ, or is it becoming an idol? Jesus said, "If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple" (Luke 14:26). This does not mean we should literally hate our loved ones, but that our love for Christ must surpass all other loves. If this relationship is consuming more devotion than our relationship with Jesus, it is out of order.

We also feel compelled to address the mention of schizophrenia and hearing voices. While we do not dismiss the reality of mental health struggles, we must caution against attributing spiritual significance to voices or visions that do not align with Scripture. The Bible warns us to "test the spirits, whether they are of God" (1 John 4:1). If these experiences are causing confusion or fear, we encourage seeking godly counsel, prayer, and medical support. Jesus is our ultimate healer, and He can bring peace and clarity to every area of our lives.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts burdened for this situation. We thank You for the acknowledgment of Your triune nature and for the desire to honor You. Lord, we ask for Your mercy and grace to cover this relationship. We pray for repentance where sin has taken root, particularly in the area of sexual purity. Father, we ask that You would convict hearts and lead both individuals to a place of holiness, where intimacy is reserved for marriage alone. We rebuke the spirit of fornication in Jesus’ name and ask that You would break any ungodly soul ties that have formed.

Lord, we pray for truth to prevail in this relationship. Where there is silence, we ask for courage to speak. Where there is fear, we ask for faith to overcome. Where there is confusion, we ask for clarity. Father, we pray that both individuals would seek You above all else, that their relationship would be secondary to their walk with Christ. If this relationship is Your will, we ask that You would bring it into alignment with Your Word, rooted in purity, honesty, and a shared commitment to You. If it is not Your will, we ask that You would close the door gently but firmly.

We pray for healing in the area of mental health. Lord, You are the God who calms the storm and brings peace to troubled minds. We ask that You would silence any voices that do not come from You and bring clarity and stability. Surround this individual with godly support, wise counsel, and medical care if needed.

Father, we ask that You would restore what has been broken, but only in a way that honors You. We pray for maturity, understanding, and open hearts. If there is a future for this relationship, let it be built on the foundation of Christ, with both individuals growing in faith, love, and obedience to Your Word. If not, we ask that You would lead them both to Your perfect will for their lives.

Above all, Lord, we pray that Jesus would be the center of this situation. May His name be lifted high, and may His will be done. We pray for salvation if either individual does not yet know You as Lord and Savior. We pray for a deepening of faith, a hunger for Your Word, and a life that reflects Your glory.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved. Amen.

It’s easy to hear how much you miss your friend and how deeply you want things to be made right. When someone who has become your everyday companion suddenly goes silent, the ache can feel overwhelming, especially when you don’t even know what went wrong. We hear loneliness and longing in your words, and we’re grateful you brought all of this honestly before God.

You’ve asked for loyalty, open hearts, and the kind of friendship where truth doesn’t push people apart. That’s a good and real desire. Healthy friendships grow best when both people feel safe enough to speak and be heard. Right now, it seems like ### isn’t ready or able to do that, and that hurts, but it’s not something you can force. Sometimes the most loving thing we can do is to give someone space and quietly pray for God to work in their heart, while we tend our own hearts and trust God with the outcome.

You also mentioned that ### knows you hear and see things others don’t, and that he didn’t run from that. We’re glad you haven’t had to carry that weight alone. Please continue to lean on the people and professionals who support your mental health, God often uses those steady relationships to bring clarity and stability. If you’re feeling especially unsettled by the silence, it may help to write down your thoughts, or to talk with a trusted pastor or counselor who can walk alongside you in this season.

We’re praying with you now.

Lord Jesus, you see this daughter’s heart, the ache of a friendship gone quiet, the longing to be understood and reunited. Please hold her close in the loneliness. Give her your peace that doesn’t depend on anyone else’s response. Where there has been misunderstanding, bring light. Where trust needs to be rebuilt, guide both of them with wisdom and patience. Protect her mind from fear and confusion, and surround her with faithful, healthy relationships that reflect your love. We ask you to do what only you can do in ###’s heart, and we trust you to provide for her deepest needs, in your way and your time. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The cry of your heart is unmistakable, and it rises with a thirst for forgiveness and restored fellowship. You ask for many chances, for loyalty to triumph over silence, for a bond that deepens and endures. But hear this clearly: there is forgiveness with God, that He may be feared. It is not for us to harness His mercy to our own blueprints of happiness, but to fall upon His terms and be remade by them. The very God against whom we have sinned proclaims, "I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins." This is surprising, complete, and for the chief of sinners, even for those whose inner world is torn by voices and visions that others cannot share. Yet this mercy is a broken column if we seek forgiveness only to build again what His Word has broken down.

You speak of loyalty as if it were the highest law, and of love-making as if it were a bond to be perfected outside the covenant of marriage. But the God who forgives is also the God who designs. The marriage bed is honorable only within the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman; all else is a house built on sand, no matter how real the dreams or how deep the missing. The broken bones you feel, the ache of silence, the confusion of unspoken grudges, are not healed by pleading for another chance on the same crooked path. They are healed when they are brought to the Lord to be reset according to His righteousness. You cannot ask God to bless a union that runs against His order while also professing devotion to Him. That is to build a column and snap it off with a "but."

Consider the man with the palsy, let down through the roof. Jesus did not first address his limbs; He first said, "Man, thy sins are forgiven thee." The greater miracle was the cleansing of his soul, and the healing of his body followed. You desire to return, to communicate, to be the man you need, but the first and vital question is whether your own soul lies passive before the Great Physician. Are you willing to have your sins forgiven on His terms, even if that means surrendering this friendship to His holy will? The schizophrenic mind does not bar you from mercy; nothing can where there is faith in Christ. But your plea to "override both of us" reveals a desire to impose your will rather than to submit to His. He is not a machine to be operated; He is the Lord who heals by breaking and remaking.

There is forgiveness, an ocean without shore, for all who confess and forsake their sin. But this forgiveness is given that we may fear the Lord, not that we may use His grace as a license for our own designs. If is to be in your life, it must be in a way that honors Christ, in purity, in patience, and in truth, not in a bond that merely placates loneliness or emotional need. You ask how you can get him to change for you. The deeper question is how you both may be changed for God. Until the heart is right with Him, every human alliance is a broken column, apt to fall and wound again. Seek first the forgiveness that brings reconciliation with God through the blood of the cross. Then, whether this friendship is restored in holiness or taken away in mercy, your bones, though once broken, may yet rejoice. The Lord rides even upon broken-kneed horses when they are yielded to His rein. Cast yourself entirely upon the Savior, and let loyalty belong to Him first. Then shall you know the peace that passes understanding, and the silence of him who is absent will have less power to shake the soul that is held by the Everlasting Arms.

You speak of loyalty and friendship, but you seek these things in a way that dishonors both God and the one you claim to love. You ask God to bless a bond built on fear, silence, and the passions of the flesh, yet the Scripture says, “Brother aided by brother becomes a fortified city.” True friendship is not forged in secret grievances or the bed of unlawful union. It is not sustained by pleading for another chance while you remain unrepentant. You say you are willing to change, but you ask the Lord merely to grant your desires as they are, with no thought to His commands.

Hear what the Apostle says: “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, and touch no unclean thing; and I will receive you, saith the Lord.” Your relationship with this man, mixing romance, cohabitation, and fornication outside of holy matrimony, is that unclean thing. No prayer can sanctify it, for God will not be mocked. You ask for better “love making” and to move in with him, but these are not the marks of a friend of God. Jesus said, “Ye are my friends if ye do what I say to you.” His friendship requires obedience, not bargaining.

You wonder why he pulls away and starts arguments. Consider that this may be a mercy, a splinter in the wound to show you the infection within. Friendships built on passion and convenience, like those who love your table more than your soul, cannot endure the trials of godliness. They fail when the feast ends. You fear losing him, yet you have already lost sight of the only Friend who cannot fail. God desires your friendship earnestly: He gave His Son to reconcile enemies. How then can you treat His law so lightly?

Put away this fantasy of a loyalty that hides truth. The Pharisee boasted in himself and was wrecked even in the harbor; you cannot exalt your own plan and expect safe passage. Humble yourself. Repent of this sin. Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, this is the heritage of faith, not of insisting on your own way. Seek the peace of Jerusalem indeed, but let it begin in your own heart through confession and a turning away from what defiles.

You mention hearing voices and seeing things others do not. Do not lean on this man as your only anchor, for even if he shows some patience, he cannot heal the soul. Bring these afflictions to the Great Physician, and let the church be your refuge. We are members one of another, and we owe each other a love that steers away from hell. I do not speak this to wound you, but because a faithful wound is better than a flattering kiss. True friendship dares to rebuke with freedom, for it loves the eternal good of the other.

Turn, then, from this disordered attachment. Confess your sins, and receive the good tidings: forgiveness, adoption, an inheritance. God has brought an end to the long war through Christ. Lay hold of that peace, and let it transform every desire. Do not ask the Lord to override your wills to keep you in a path of destruction; ask instead that His will override your own, for He alone knows what leads to life.

You have poured out your heart, and that honesty before the Lord is precious. It is right to bring every longing and every tangled relationship to Him. And as I read your words, I see a deep ache for connection, for loyalty, and for things to be made right. But I also want to gently point you to the wellspring that must come first, before any other relationship can find its true healing.

So often, we focus with all our intensity on the horizontal relationship, the loyalty or silence of another person, and we miss the vertical one that determines all else. The greatest need any of us has is not for a text message or a restored friendship, but for the forgiveness of our own sins. That takes care of the eternal issues. Whether a friendship is mended or not is secondary to knowing that your transgressions are blotted out and that you stand forgiven before God through faith in Jesus Christ. His purpose in coming was to make an end of sins and to bring in everlasting righteousness. That is the solid ground on which everything else must be built.

Your prayer is tangled up with a desire for a man to change, for a friendship to be rebuilt on a foundation of loyalty, and for a physical relationship to deepen. But I would ask you to consider the kind of forgiveness and love that Jesus actually models. He didn't ask us to forgive based on whether the other person deserves it or will respond perfectly. He commanded a spirit of forgiveness because holding onto an offense is like locking yourself in a prison of bitterness. It damages you spiritually and emotionally. When you say, “I won’t get angry as long as I know the truth and our friendship is loyal,” you are setting a condition on a forgiveness that should be given freely from the heart, the way God forgave you.

True forgiveness is not a mathematical equation where you keep count until 490. It’s a matter of the spirit. And true forgiveness is complete. It doesn’t say, “I forgive you, but I’ll never forget,” because that’s like burying the hatchet but leaving the handle sticking out of the ground so you can find it later. God’s forgiveness doesn’t work that way. When He justifies you, it’s just as though you never did it. The past sin no longer exists in His book. That is the kind of release He wants to work in your own heart first, regardless of what does or doesn’t do.

You are asking how to get him to change for you? The more pressing question is what God wants to change in you for His name’s sake. The only thing that keeps any of us from the cleansing we need is our willingness to come and ask for it, and then to walk in it. Ask the Lord to take away any bitterness, any unforgiving spirit you might be holding onto, whether against or even against yourself. If your past actions are haunting your conscience, know that there is forgiveness and cleansing if you will repent. You don’t have to be hounded by what is already under the blood of Christ.

As you seek the Lord, let your communication with Him become just that: a real dialogue, not a monologue of anxieties. Bring him your desire for friendship, but let God’s Spirit search your heart about the nature of that relationship. A love that is self-sacrificing and giving, the way Jesus loved us, looks different from a love that is built on fear of silence or a demand for loyalty above truth. Do not cling so tightly to this horizontal bond that you neglect the vertical one.

Let go of the resentment. Let go of the need to control the outcome. Pray, “Lord, set me free from any ought I am holding against anyone.” Do your part to be forgiving, be truthful, and be the woman God has called you to be, not to earn a man’s love, but as an overflow of having received God’s total and complete pardon. Jesus’ forgiveness opens the door. Walk through it, and leave the rest in His hands.
