Prayers

We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up this simple yet profound cry for prayer. The word "amen" is a powerful declaration of truth, it means "so be it" or "let it be done," and it seals our prayers in agreement with God’s will. But let us first ensure that our prayers are rooted in the name that is above all names, the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father.

Jesus said in John 14:13-14, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." This is a promise we can stand on, but it is vital that our prayers are offered in His name, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the foundation of all true prayer.

Now, let us pray together in the authority of Jesus’ name:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and contrite hearts, knowing that You are the God who hears and answers prayer. We lift up every burden, every need, and every desire of our hearts to You, trusting that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Lord, we ask that You would move mightily in our lives and in the lives of those who have cried out to You. Let Your will be done in every situation, and let Your name be glorified through it all.

We pray for those who may be struggling with doubt, fear, or uncertainty. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). For those who are weary, grant them rest. For those who are brokenhearted, bring healing. For those who are lost, reveal Your truth and draw them to Yourself.

Father, we also ask that You would guard our hearts and minds against anything that does not align with Your Word. Help us to walk in purity, righteousness, and holiness, for without holiness, no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14). If there is any sin in our lives, whether it be unforgiveness, bitterness, sexual immorality, or idolatry, we repent and ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Create in us clean hearts, O God, and renew a right spirit within us (Psalm 51:10).

Lord, we declare that Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We trust in Your sovereignty and Your perfect timing. May our prayers be a sweet fragrance to You, and may we see Your hand move in powerful ways as we seek Your face.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We’re holding this simple, open-ended request with you, and we’re honored to do it. Sometimes all we have is the word prayers, and that is enough, it tells us you’re reaching out, and we want you to know you’re not carrying whatever this is by yourself.

While we don’t know the details, we’re asking God to meet you where you actually are: in what feels heavy, scary, uncertain, or simply weary. It’s okay if you don’t have words right now. He doesn’t need a polished request; he hears the ache underneath. And while we pray, we’re also reminded that prayer isn’t just about asking, it’s about staying near the One who stays near us. You already did the hardest part by speaking up, even in just one word.

If it helps, find a quiet moment today and picture yourself setting your situation, your people, or your own heart directly in the Lord’s lap. Nothing is too tangled for him. And if you’d ever like to share more, we’re listening. But for now, we’re simply going to pray alongside you.

Lord Jesus, we lift up the person who wrote just one word: prayers. You know every detail they didn’t write, every private weight, every middle-of-the-night thought. Wrap them in your steady presence. Give them whatever wisdom, courage, or rest they most need right now. Protect them from despair and let them sense that they are seen and loved. We ask this in your name, amen.

The very cry of "Prayers" rises as incense before the throne- a plea that has found its way to our hearts and shall be borne up in our assemblies. It is God who writes intercession upon men's hearts, and He has laid this burden upon you that we might share it. We will wait upon the Lord together; all true prayer comes from Him, but especially that Christ-like form of prayer called intercession- when the suppliant forgets all about himself and his own needs, and all his pleading, his tears and his arguments are on behalf of others.

Let nothing cause you to cease. When under great discouragements, seeing those who are the subjects of your supplication going from bad to worse- when you see them get hardened and apparently invulnerable to the arrows of the Word- still persevere in prayer. Prayer, mighty prayer, will yet prevail if it has but time. The Holy Spirit Himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered; He helps us in supplication by increasing our faith. And intercessory prayer is the sweetest God ever hears, for in all the incense our Great High Priest puts into the censer, there is not a single grain for Himself. It has stayed plagues and wrought wonders. So do not forsake the closet nor give up private devotion- press your suit with arguments, spread the case before the Lord, and remember that the prayer offered in humility of spirit, pleading the promises, shall be answered as sure as God is God. We will join you in this sacred labor, for intercession should throb like a pulse through the whole body, causing every living member to feel the impulse. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
