We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your plea for protection, discernment, and strength. The Word of God assures us in Isaiah 54:17, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is of me, says the Lord." We stand on this promise, declaring that no scheme of the enemy will prosper against you or your son.
Father God, we ask You to surround them with Your divine protection. Place a hedge of thorns around them, Lord, so that those who seek to harm or deceive them cannot penetrate Your covering. Psalm 91:4 tells us, "He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart." We claim this protection over them now, in the mighty name of Jesus.
Lord, grant them discernment to recognize the intentions of others, whether they come from neighbors, coworkers, family, or friends. Give them wisdom to navigate these relationships with grace and truth, as Proverbs 2:6-8 reminds us, "For the Lord gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. He lays up sound wisdom for the upright. He is a shield to those who walk in integrity, that he may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of his saints." May they walk in integrity and be shielded from deception.
We also ask for strength for both of you, Father. Life’s battles can be exhausting, but Your Word tells us in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Remind them daily that their strength comes from You, and that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Deuteronomy 31:6).
We must also address the spiritual warfare at play here. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We rebuke every spirit of division, strife, and harm that may be at work in these relationships. We command every weapon formed against you and your son to be rendered powerless, in the name of Jesus Christ. The enemy has no authority over those who are covered by the blood of Jesus.
If there are areas in your life or your son’s life where unforgiveness, bitterness, or unrepentant sin may be giving the enemy a foothold, we encourage you to examine your hearts. James 4:7 says, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Confess any sin, forgive those who have wronged you, and walk in the freedom that Christ has given you.
Heavenly Father, we also lift up the salvation of those around them who may be acting out of darkness. We pray that their eyes would be opened to the truth of Your love and that they would come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Only through Him can true peace and reconciliation be found. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Let us pray together:
Lord God Almighty, we come before You with hearts full of faith, believing in Your power to protect, guide, and strengthen. We ask You to shield ### and ### from every attack of the enemy. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let Your peace guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Grant them wisdom to navigate the challenges they face, and discernment to recognize Your voice above all others. Strengthen them when they are weary, and remind them that You are their refuge and fortress. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment will be condemned.
Father, we also pray for those who may be acting out of hurt, jealousy, or malice. Soften their hearts, Lord, and draw them to Yourself. Let Your love break every chain of darkness in their lives.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and rest in the knowledge that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). May they walk in the victory that is already theirs through Jesus Christ our Lord. In His precious and powerful name we pray, Amen.
