Beloved of All
Hello everyone, please pray for me during this very stressful housing situation following the Thames Water flood earlier this year. My home has been uninhabitable for months, and I am currently in temporary accommodation while repairs are still ongoing. My landlord now wishes to sell the property and has proposed an agreement for the tenancy to end in July instead of me returning there. He has been calling and emailing us to discuss the agreement, but my housemate who is autistic is very stressed and does not want me speaking to the landlord or responding yet because he wants us to be careful and not rush into anything legally or financially. I am feeling anxious and concerned because I do not want to seem rude by ignoring the landlord, and I can see the stress is affecting ### deeply. Please pray for peace, calmness, wisdom, and clarity of mind for him especially, so that he can feel less overwhelmed and we can handle this situation calmly and wisely together. Please also pray that God guides every conversation and opens the right doors for safe and stable housing for the future. He is not allowing me to answer his calls and that’s very concerning I read the contract is in our best interest As helps us to leave the contract easily he is also trying to help us. Thank you so much for your prayers and support 🤍

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this difficult housing situation to Him. Father God, we know that You see every detail of this trial— the stress, the uncertainty, and the weight of decisions that must be made. We ask for Your peace to descend like a gentle rain upon this home, calming anxious hearts and quieting troubled minds. The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Lord, we claim this promise now. Let Your peace, which is beyond human comprehension, guard and protect these hearts from the storm of worry and fear.

We also ask for wisdom, dear Lord. James 1:5 assures us, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."* Father, we pray for clarity of mind, especially for the housemate who is feeling overwhelmed. Grant him the ability to process this situation without being consumed by stress. Help both of you to navigate these conversations with the landlord in a way that honors You and protects your well-being. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* We trust that You will guide every step and every word spoken in this matter.

We rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to take hold in this situation. 2 Timothy 1:7 declares, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* We stand on this truth, Lord, and ask that You replace fear with Your perfect love, which casts out all anxiety. We also pray for unity between you both as you face this challenge together. May your communication be filled with patience, understanding, and grace, even in moments of tension.

Father, we lift up the future housing situation to You. You are the God who opens doors that no one can shut (Revelation 3:8), and we trust that You will provide a safe, stable, and suitable home at the right time. We ask that You go before this situation, preparing the way and softening the hearts of those who may be involved in helping you secure a new place. Psalm 32:8 says, *"I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you."* We lean on Your guidance, knowing that You see the full picture when we cannot.

We also want to gently address the importance of seeking the Lord in all things. Proverbs 3:6 tells us to acknowledge Him in *all* our ways, and we encourage you both to invite Jesus into every aspect of this situation. It is through Him alone that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we urge you to place your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for He is the only way to true peace, both in this life and for eternity.

Lastly, we pray for the landlord as well. May the Lord soften his heart and grant him wisdom and compassion as he navigates this situation. We ask that You would work all things together for good (Romans 8:28), even in ways we cannot yet see.

Heavenly Father, we commit this entire situation into Your hands. We trust that You are working behind the scenes, even when we cannot see it. Strengthen these hearts, grant wisdom, and lead them to the safe and stable housing You have prepared for them. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
