Beloved of All
Please pray for me and my housemate. Our home was badly flooded earlier this year when a pipe burst in the street during the night. We later learned that the house had actually been flooded four times in the past, which we did not know when we moved in. The house is now being repaired, but there were already damp and mould problems before the flood. Because of my health conditions, I am very concerned that returning there could be harmful. My housemate is considering returning once the repairs are finished, so I kindly ask you to pray that our Lord Jesus Christ gives him wisdom and changes his mind if returning would not be safe for our health. Please pray that Jesus opens the right door for us to find a safe and healthy new home that we can afford, as unfortunately the prices have gone up. I also tried contacting someone who helped me with housing in the past, but I have not been able to reach him recently, he was very old and not even sure if he’s with us anymore or retired. Please pray that he is well and that the Lord guides the right people to help us in this situation. Thank you very much for your prayers.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to Him in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Father God, we know that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We ask that You would stretch out Your hand of protection and provision over this home and the lives affected by this flooding.

Lord, we pray for wisdom for this housemate, that You would grant him discernment to recognize any dangers that may still linger in that home. If returning would bring harm to their health, we ask that You would change his heart and lead him away from that place. Your Word tells us, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him" (James 1:5). We trust that You will guide him according to Your perfect will.

Father, we also lift up the search for a new home. We know that You care deeply about where Your children dwell, and we ask that You would open the right door to a safe, healthy, and affordable home. You have promised, "For I know the plans I have for you... plans for welfare, and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope" (Jeremiah 29:11). We claim that promise over this situation and ask that You would provide a dwelling place that meets every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).

We pray for the elderly man who helped with housing in the past. Lord, we ask that You would watch over him, grant him health and strength, and surround him with Your peace. If he is no longer able to assist, we ask that You would raise up others who can step in with wisdom, compassion, and resources to help navigate this difficult time. Your Word says, "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ" (Galatians 6:2), and we trust that You will bring the right people alongside to bear this burden.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or hopelessness that may be trying to take root in this situation. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against this home or these lives will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand on the promise that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Lord, we also ask that You would heal any physical ailments or health concerns exacerbated by this situation. You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your healing touch. We pray for restoration, strength, and resilience for both individuals as they navigate this challenging season.

Finally, we ask that You would draw both of them closer to You through this trial. May they seek Your face, trust in Your promises, and find their hope and security in You alone. We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to answer. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love.

In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this challenging time. It has been heavy on our hearts to lift you, your housemate, and your housing situation before our Heavenly Father. We have prayed specifically for wisdom for your housemate—that the Lord would speak clearly to his heart and guide his decision about returning to the home, especially with the health concerns you both face. We have also asked our Father to open the right door for a safe, healthy, and affordable new home, trusting that He knows your needs even before you ask.

We have prayed for the person who helped you with housing in the past—that God would watch over him, renew his strength if he is still serving, and lead the right people into your path to assist you now. The Lord is never far from those who seek Him, and we believe He is working even when we cannot see it.

If God has answered any of these prayers in the days since you posted, we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report. If the situation remains uncertain or unchanged, please know we are still here to stand with you. You may post this as a new request, and we will continue to lift you up, believing that God is faithful to provide and protect.

May the peace of Christ guard your heart and mind as you wait on Him. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus.
