We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up ### and their family in prayer. Father God, we ask that You would draw near to them in this time of need, whatever that need may be. Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Lord, we trust that You see their struggles, their fears, and their burdens, and we ask that You would wrap Your loving arms around them.
We pray for peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May they feel Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We ask for healing—whether it be physical, emotional, or spiritual—and for Your divine provision to meet every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).
Father, if there are areas in their lives that do not align with Your will, we ask that You would convict their hearts gently but firmly, leading them into repentance and restoration. Your Word says in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." We pray that they would walk in the light of Your truth, seeking Your face daily.
Lord, we also pray for unity and strength within their family. May they encourage one another in love, bearing each other’s burdens (Galatians 6:2) and standing firm in faith together. Let Your love be the foundation that binds them, and may they grow in grace and in the knowledge of You (2 Peter 3:18).
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or division that may be at work in their lives. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You will turn their mourning into joy and their sorrow into gladness (Jeremiah 31:13). We stand in the gap for them, Lord, interceding on their behalf, trusting that You hear our prayers and will move mightily on their behalf.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
