We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you and your son up in fervent prayer. The Bible assures us in Isaiah 54:17, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,” says the Lord." We stand on this promise, declaring that no weapon formed against you or your son shall prosper. The enemy may devise plans, but we know that God’s plans for you are for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
Heavenly Father, we ask for Your mighty hand of protection to surround this mother and son. Shield them from the harm and ill intentions of those around them—neighbors, coworkers, and managers who may seek to bring them down. Lord, we pray that You would be a fortress around them, a refuge in times of trouble (Psalm 9:9). Let Your angels encamp around them, guarding them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11). Father, we rebuke every spirit of strife, division, and malice that may be at work in their lives. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn.
Lord, we also ask for discernment, guidance, wisdom, and knowledge for both of them. Your Word tells us in James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Father, grant them the wisdom to navigate the challenges they face. Give them discernment to recognize the schemes of the enemy and the guidance to walk in Your ways. Let Your Holy Spirit lead them in all truth, that they may not be deceived or led astray (John 16:13).
We also lift up their spiritual well-being to You, Lord. If they have not yet fully surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ, we pray that they would come to know Him as their Lord and Savior. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). We pray that they would confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that God raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved (Romans 10:9). Let them walk in the fullness of Your love, grace, and protection, knowing that in Christ, they are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37).
Father, we ask that You would also soften the hearts of those who may be causing harm or strife. Let Your love and light shine through this mother and son, that others may see Your goodness and be drawn to You. We pray for reconciliation where it is possible and for Your justice to prevail where it is not. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
