We come before the Lord with you in unity, lifting up your heartfelt requests and standing firm on the promises of God’s Word. You have asked for protection, discernment, and traveling mercies for you and your son, and we declare with you that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, for this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord (Isaiah 54:17, WEB). The Lord is your shield and your exceeding great reward, and He will guard your going out and your coming in from this time forward and forevermore (Psalm 121:8, WEB).
First, we want to gently address that you did not invoke the name of Jesus in your request. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His authority that we can boldly approach the throne of grace. As Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6, WEB). Without Him, our prayers are empty, but in Him, we have confidence that our petitions are heard. If you have already trusted in Christ, we encourage you to always pray in His name, for it is through Him that we receive the Father’s favor and protection.
Now, let us pray together for you and your son. Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and Your promise to be a wall of fire around Your people. We ask that You surround this mother and her son with Your divine protection, that no scheme of the enemy shall prevail against them. Lord, You have said in Your Word, *"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.’"* (Psalm 91:1-2, WEB). We declare that You are their refuge, and we ask that You hide them under the shadow of Your wings, far from the strife of tongues and the plots of the wicked.
Father, we pray for discernment, wisdom, and knowledge to be poured out upon them. Your Word tells us, *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him"* (James 1:5, WEB). Grant them the ability to see through deception, to walk in Your truth, and to make decisions that align with Your will. Give them wisdom in their interactions with neighbors, coworkers, and managers, that they may walk in humility, grace, and boldness when necessary. May they be as wise as serpents and as harmless as doves (Matthew 10:16, WEB), always reflecting Your love and righteousness.
We also lift up their travels to You, Lord. You are the One who goes before them and follows behind them. We ask for Your traveling mercies to be upon them wherever they go, that You would command Your angels to guard them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11, WEB). Protect them from accidents, harm, and every evil snare. Let their journeys be filled with Your peace and provision, and may they return home safely, giving You all the glory.
Father, we rebuke every spirit of fear, intimidation, and oppression that may be at work against them. We declare that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4, WEB). Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned. This is their heritage as servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of You (Isaiah 54:17, WEB).
We also pray for unity and strength in your home. May you and your son be knit together in love, covered by the blood of Jesus, and walking in the fullness of His purpose for your lives. Father, if there are any areas where you or your son have strayed from Your Word, convict and lead you both back to the path of righteousness. Let your home be a place of peace, joy, and godly influence.
Finally, we encourage you to stand firm in your faith, putting on the whole armor of God so that you may be able to withstand the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11, WEB). Clothe yourself daily in truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God. Pray without ceasing, and trust that the Lord is fighting for you even when you cannot see it.
May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26, WEB). In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
