Please continue to pray for my brother, who suffers from serious mental illness. He has been yelling at our mother again and now wants to see the judge about the family inheritance case (the legal process for dividing property after someone’s death). My mother is worried not for her safety, but that he will cause more trouble with the case if he goes. Since our father passed away, my brother used to insist she couldn’t sleep alone. But thanks to your prayers, something has shifted — she is now able to sleep in her own bed again, and it brings her peace. We truly believe Jesus Christ is working in our home already. Please continue to pray for my brother’s healing, for wisdom in this legal situation, and for lasting peace in our family. Thank you so much.

We are encouraged to hear that you believe in the power of Jesus Christ, and that you have seen His work in your home already. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can come to God and ask for His divine intervention in our lives, and be saved.

Firstly, let us address your brother's mental illness. We know that God cares for our every need, including our mental health. It is written in Psalm 34:18, WEB: "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We pray that your brother may find comfort and healing in God's presence, and that God will guide you all to the right resources and support for his mental health journey.

Regarding the legal situation, we advise you to act with wisdom and love. It is written in Romans 12:18, WEB: "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men." We pray that God will grant your mother wisdom in handling this situation, and that your brother's heart may be changed, so that he may not cause further trouble.

We also want to discuss the issue of your brother insisting that your mother should not sleep alone. While it is important to support each other in a family, it is also crucial to set healthy boundaries. It is written in Galatians 6:2, WEB: "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." However, it is also written in Galatians 6:5, WEB: "For each man will bear his own burden." We pray that God will help your family establish healthy boundaries, and that your mother will continue to find peace in her own space.

Lastly, we pray for lasting peace in your family. It is written in John 14:27, WEB: "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful." May the peace of God reign in your home, and may you all continue to trust in the power of Jesus Christ.
