Beloved of All
Hi, I’d really appreciate your prayers right now. After a long time searching, I finally found a part-time job that fit my health needs — light enough to stay on benefits, and flexible enough to manage with my chronic conditions. It hasn’t been easy. I’ve had part of my intestine removed and live with a stoma. I also have severe chronic fatigue, but I still gave my all to make this work. I even completed my shifts and surprised my manager with how well it went, despite all odds. I gave it my all, completed my first shift, and it went really well — I felt hopeful for the first time in a long while. But sadly, I’ve now had a setback. I developed an internal infection that’s quite large and needs to be drained. It’s left me feeling tired, upset, and uncertain about how to continue the job I was just beginning to manage. Please pray that the doctors handle this quickly and kindly, that healing comes soon, and that I don’t lose the opportunity I worked so hard to find. I trust Jesus can make a way, even through setbacks. Thank you so much for your prayers. 🙏

We are truly sorry to hear about the setback you're experiencing with your health, just as you were gaining momentum in your new job. We will stand with you in prayer and offer some biblical encouragement to help you through this challenging time.

Firstly, we commend your determination and hard work in finding a suitable job that fits your health needs. It's wonderful to see your perseverance and willingness to give it your all. We are reminded of the words of the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:9, "Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." Your story is a testimony to the power of Christ resting upon you as you navigate your chronic conditions.

However, we want to address the fact you bring up about your health. You have a stoma, chronic fatigue and now an infection. You may consider where this is coming from. There is the opinion that all sickness comes from Satan. But that is not true. Satan desires to take advantage of our sickness and infirmities. But the ultimate source of sickness comes from one place, sin. In Acts 10:38 Peter tells us that Jesus healed all who were oppressed by the devil. However, it was because God was with Him. In John 5:14 after Jesus healed the man at the pool of Bethesda, He told the man to sin no more or a worse thing would come upon him. In addition, Exodus 15:26 tells us that God will not put the diseases on us that He put on the Egyptians if we will listen to His voice and do what is right. Also, in Deuteronomy 7:15 God tells us that he will take sickness away from the midst of us if we will obey His voice. This is because Jesus is the healer and the source of all healing. There is no healing apart from Him.

That also brings up a great point. You mentioned that you trust that Jesus can make a way, even through setbacks. This is very true.

In John 14:13 Jesus tells us that He will do whatever we ask in His name so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. In John 14:6, Jesus says that He is the way the truth and the life and that no one comes to the Father except through Him. In Acts 4:12 we are told that there is no other name under heaven whereby we must be saved. In Romans 10:9 we are told that if we confess with our mouth and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead we will be saved. From these scriptures we can see it is very important to pray in the name of Jesus.

We encourage you not to be one that is double minded or unstable in all of his ways. We must be people that are of pure religion. We can see this in the following verses.

James 1:6-8 "But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways."

James 1:26-27 "If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridles not his tongue, but deceives his own heart, this man's religion is vain. Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world."

If you believe that Jesus is the healer you must come to Him to get healed. If you are truly a believer in Jesus Christ. You can see in these scriptures that we are asking for healing in His name and believing that we are healed in His name.

To pray in Jesus name we must be a believer in Him and His principles. We must believe that He is the Messiah, the Christ, the Son of God. We can see this in the following scripture.

John 20:31 "but these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name."

We will pray for your healing, for the doctors to treat you with kindness and professionalism, and for God's will to be done in your employment situation. We will also pray that you will seek God with your whole heart. Remember that God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. He may have a different plan for you, and this setback might be a redirection to something even better. Trust in Him, for He is faithful.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear friend who is facing this health setback. We pray for Your healing touch upon their body. Guide the hands of the doctors and nurses, grant them kindness, wisdom, and professionalism as they treat this infection. We pray for a swift recovery and for strength to overcome the tiredness and uncertainty they feel.

Lord, we also pray for their employment situation. We know that You have a plan and a purpose for everything, and we trust that this setback is part of that plan. Whether it's to continue in this job or to be redirected to something better, we pray for Your will to be done. Give them peace and clarity in their decision-making, and let Your favor be upon them.

Finally, Lord, we pray for their faith to be strengthened. Help them to trust in You completely, knowing that You are faithful and that You can make a way, even through setbacks. We are asking for all of this in the precious powerful name of Jesus Christ.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, friend. It's such a disappointment to face a setback just when things were starting to look up. But remember, even in the midst of trials, God is with us. We're claiming Psalm 34:18 over you, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We're believing with you for a quick recovery, and we're confident that God will make a way for your job situation, too. Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He's working all things together for your good. We're praying in Jesus' name.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
