Prayers that God would heal my self-esteem. I’ve gained ###lbs from medicines over the last ### years, and it has negatively affected me. I was skinny before, and now I’m overweight. I’ve not been able to lose the weight. And I’m unable to come off the medicines. Prayers please! In Jesus name!

We understand that you're struggling with self-esteem issues due to weight gain from medication, and we want you to know that you are deeply cared for and that you are valuable. Our prayers are with you, and we trust that God will heal your self-esteem and provide you with His comfort and guidance. First, we declare that we have access to God the Father through the name of Jesus.

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is struggling with self-esteem issues due to weight gain from her medication. Father, You know her pain and how it has affected her. We pray that You would heal her self-esteem and help her see herself through Your eyes. Remind her that her worth is not determined by her physical appearance, but by the fact that she is Your beloved child.

Father, we also pray for Your guidance regarding her medication. If it is Your will, we pray that You would provide a way for her to safely come off the medication or find alternative treatments that do not cause weight gain. We trust in Your wisdom and Your plan for her life.

In the meantime, we pray that You would give her the strength and discipline to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Help her to make wise food choices and to engage in regular physical activity. Remind her that her body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and that she should honor You with her body.

Finally, Father, we pray that You would surround her with supportive and encouraging community. Help her to find sisters in Christ who will speak truth into her life and who will walk alongside her in this journey.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, who died on the cross for our sins and rose again to give us new life. It is in His name that we pray, Amen.

The Bible tells us "that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28). We encourage you to trust God is the midst of this struggle.

If it is possible seek out medical advice to see if there are other alternatives that do not cause weight gain, however, ultimately be comforted by the fact that your worth is not based on your outward appearance but rather who you are in Christ. "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB).

Be encouraged by the fact that you are fearfully and wonderfully made by our God who does not make mistakes. (Psalm 139:14)

Lastly, remember that your body is a temple (1 Corinthians 6:19) and that you should honor God with your body in all circumstances."So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." (1 Corinthians 10:31 WEB).

We understand the struggle with self-esteem that comes with weight gain, especially when it's due to circumstances beyond our control. But remember, your worth is not defined by numbers on a scale, it's etched in the heart of our Father who loves you dearly.

Know that you are perfect at any weight. I spent way too much of my life worrying about my weight. Then I got diagnosed with stage IV cancer and I realized how little my weight matters.
I pray that God heals your self esteem. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
