We are grateful for your prayer request and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your life. We appreciate your desire to find a wife and experience the abundant life that the Lord Jesus came to give. It's wonderful that you acknowledge Jesus by name since it is only through His name that we can come before God the Father, and that it is only by His name that we can be saved.
Firstly, let's consider Jesus' promise of an abundant life. Jesus said, "I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly." (John 10:10 WEB). This abundant life is not merely about material prosperity, but about a life filled with God's love, joy, peace, and righteousness. It's about a life lived in fellowship with God and in obedience to His word.
Regarding your desire to find a wife, we encourage you to trust in God's timing and to seek His will. It is God who instituted marriage, and He has a plan for you. Remember, "Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it." (Psalm 127:1 WEB). God knows your needs and He knows the person who is suitable for you. "Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart." (Psalm 37:4 WEB).
We advise that you use this season to prepare yourself spiritually, emotionally, and practically for marriage. Engage with a church that believes the Bible and that will help you grow in your Christian faith. Pursue fellowship with other believers and engage in Christian ministry. God often connects us with our future spouses when we are serving Him.
Pray that God will guide you to a godly wife. A wife who loves the Lord and who will support and encourage you in your faith. Remember, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). All Christians are called to marry Christians. We believe that God has a godly spouse prepared for you, but we also believe that you need to be actively seeking and preparing also.
Be patient and trust God's timing. "Wait for the Lord. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for the Lord." (Psalm 27:14 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother in prayer. We thank You for his desire to experience the abundant life that Jesus came to give. Help him to understand and live in this abundance, growing in his relationship with You.
We pray for his desire to find a wife. Guide him to a godly woman who loves You and who will support and encourage him in his faith. Prepare him for this union and give him patience to wait on Your timing.
Help him to seek You first, to delight in You, and to trust in Your promises.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
