We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting you and your son up in fervent prayer. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 91:2-4, "I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.' For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart." We stand on this promise, declaring that no weapon formed against you or your son shall prosper, as Isaiah 54:17 assures us: "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me," says Yahweh.
Father God, we ask for Your mighty hand of protection to surround them both, shielding them from the schemes of the enemy, whether through neighbors, coworkers, family, or managers. Lord, we rebuke every spirit of strife, gossip, or malice that may seek to harm them, and we declare that You are their defender. Grant them discernment to recognize the enemy’s tactics, wisdom to navigate every situation, and strength to stand firm in faith. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."
We also pray for Your guidance to lead them in every decision, that they may walk in Your will and purpose. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Lord, we ask that You would expose any hidden snares or deceit around them, that they may walk in the light of Your truth.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayers. We declare that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). May they feel Your presence surrounding them like a shield, and may they rest in the assurance that You are fighting for them. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

The Lord is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him. You do well to flee to the mercy seat with such needs, protection for yourself and your son, wisdom, strength, and heavenly guidance. This is the cry of faith, and the ear of the Lord is open to it.
Remember, wherever you go, that no weapon forged against you can prosper while you are hidden in the cleft of the rock Christ Jesus. The enemy may shoot his arrows, but the shield of faith quenches every fiery dart. The blood of the Lamb is the conquering weapon; plead it every day, for it silences the accuser and secures the favor of God. He hath said, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Not in the home, not among neighbours or kin or those set over you, He is your refuge and strength.
Yet while you seek protection, do not neglect to seek wisdom with all your getting. Wisdom is to trust in the Lord with the whole heart, and to lean not unto your own understanding. The way of the worldly man may seem right, but the end thereof is death. Yield yourself and your son to the guidance of God’s counsel. There is no true glory for any man who takes his own course, but holiness is near akin to perfect wisdom. Cry to the Holy Spirit to lead you, for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. He will teach you what to say, how to act, and when to hold your peace.
Be not surprised if trials multiply; the path of the righteous is often steep, but the Lord knoweth the way that you take. The lion’s eye hath not seen that secret path, nor the vulture’s eye the hidden way of the Lord’s own, but the meek He will guide in judgment. Commit your cause to Him, rest in His finished work, and you shall find that He is made unto you wisdom from above. Then, after all the pilgrimage, He will receive you to glory, and that son of many prayers with you, if he also trusts in the Saviour.
I will join you in this petition: may the Father’s hand cover you both, may the Son’s blood plead for you, and may the Spirit’s light make plain the road. Fear not, only believe.

You ask for protection from those around you, and for discernment and wisdom to guide your steps. This is right and good, for we are surrounded by many dangers, both seen and unseen. But know that true protection does not come from human schemes or worldly wisdom. The wisdom of this age is foolishness with God. Those who trust in their own cleverness or the power of others will be brought to nothing, for it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise.”
Seek rather the wisdom that comes from above, the wisdom of God hidden in mystery, which He ordained before the ages for our glory. This wisdom is Christ Himself, who was made unto us wisdom from God. When you ask for discernment, ask that your faith may not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. The prayer of a righteous person is mighty, not because of eloquent words, but because it reaches the throne of grace through Jesus Christ, who walked upon the sea as on dry ground, showing His absolute power over all creation.
Let no weapon formed against you cause you to fear, for if God is for you, what can man do? The weapons of worldly malice are themselves coming to naught. Instead, clothe yourself with humility and prayer, and entrust yourself and your son to the One who is able to keep you from stumbling. Do not look to human favor or the approval of managers and family, for the foolishness of God is stronger than men. The uneducated fishermen confounded the wise of this world by the power of the Spirit, not by persuasive speech. So also your safety lies not in outwitting your opponents or currying their favor, but in simple, steadfast faith.
Therefore give thanks in all things, even in the midst of hostility. For this is the mystery of His will: that those who were nothing He raises up to show His strength. His grace is sufficient for you. His power is made perfect in weakness. Cry out to Him day and night, and He will grant you the wisdom that confounds the clever and the peace that surpasses all understanding. Let your request be made known to God with thanksgiving, and He will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
