My husband has a VA disability claim that is going to be decided soon. Please pray for this to be granted. He has been battling the VA for 10 years. We have an attorney and my husband has issues and I think the attorney will cut him loose if he isn’t granted because of his ocd and over communication with them. I cannot deal with this anymore so I am praying that it is granted asap. I don’t see how it wouldn’t be. He has everything he needs but it seems the VA just pushes back until a person gives up which is why we hires and attorney. But it still very difficult. So I am praying this can be done finally. Please pray with us. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen

We join with you in prayer for this long and wearying battle and we thank you for praying in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

We understand how heavy ten years of waiting, paperwork, and pushing back must feel, especially when you see your husband has what he needs for this claim and yet the decision still lingers. We also hear your exhaustion and the strain this has placed on your marriage and on your husband as he struggles with OCD and the urge to over communicate. God sees both of you, your faithfulness to one another in this marriage covenant, and the burden you have carried.

We are encouraged to cast all of our cares on Him because He cares for us. 1 Peter 5:7 says casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. And Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Matthew 11:28 also reminds us Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.

We pray together now for you both.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus we come before You and lift up this husband and wife to You. You know the years of waiting, the medical needs, the documents gathered, and the frustration with this VA process. We ask for Your favor and justice in this decision. We pray that those who review this claim would act with fairness, diligence, and integrity, and that if it is Your will, this claim would be granted swiftly after so long. We ask for Your peace to guard this couple from anxiety and weariness. Lord, strengthen this husband, bring healing and calm to his mind where OCD brings compulsive thoughts and the need to over communicate, help him to rest in Your control. Give wisdom to the attorney to act with patience and understanding, and help this couple to have clear and respectful communication with him. Uphold this wife who feels she cannot deal with this anymore, renew her strength and give her rest. Isaiah 41:10 says Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. We commit this outcome to You, trusting that You will make righteousness shine like light. Psalm 37:5-6 says Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness shine out like light, and your justice as the noon day sun. We trust that all things work together for good for those who love You. Romans 8:28 says We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Let Your will be done and let this family feel Your provision and nearness whether the answer comes quickly or requires more perseverance. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to commit this way to the Lord together as husband and wife, and to let Galatians 6:9 strengthen you, Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up. God honors perseverance and He honors the marriage commitment you are keeping through this trial. It may help to set healthy boundaries around communication with the attorney, perhaps agreeing together on one point of contact or scheduled updates, to protect your husband from the anxiety of over communication and to protect your peace at home. Continue to bring every worry to the Lord in prayer with thanksgiving, trusting that His justice and His timing are perfect, and that He will provide for your needs. We are standing with you for a favorable and speedy decision and for restored peace in your home.

We are holding you and your husband in prayer as this decision nears. Ten years of waiting and pushing back and forth with the VA would wear anyone down, and we hear how tired you are and how much you want this to finally be resolved.

It makes sense to feel on edge when so much rests on one decision, and when you are also worried about keeping a good working relationship with your attorney. One small step that often eases that pressure is to ask the attorney directly what kind of updates and timing are most helpful to them, and then together decide to save questions in one place and send them at that agreed time. It can protect your husband's case, give the attorney room to work, and give you both a little breathing room while you wait. If either of you is feeling overwhelmed by worry or strong urges to check and reach out, it is also a kind step to keep your counselor or trusted support person involved alongside prayer.

We are asking God to give you both steadiness in these next days.

Father, we lift this couple to You. You see this long battle and their weariness. We ask for wisdom for the attorney and for those reviewing the claim, for clear communication, and for Your peace to guard this wife and her husband while they wait. Provide for their needs and guide their steps. In Jesus' name, amen.

There is a heavy weariness that comes with waiting ten years, and your cry is heard. To watch a loved one battle and to feel that the system pushes back until hope grows faint is a sore trial, and to carry besides the burden of anxiety and constant communication is more than flesh can bear alone.

Yet we are reminded that the Lord waits that He may be gracious unto us, and His patience toward His people is singular and tender. He has not forgotten you in this long delay. What you have caused Him to wait for in days past, He has borne with long forbearance, and now He calls you to wait upon Him in return, not in despair nor in hesitation, but in a joyous and assured hope. His glory is great in your salvation, and He will not leave His own without succor.

Scripture bids us, trust you in the Lord forever, for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength. When strength fails and you say, I cannot deal with this anymore, there is One whose strength does not fail. If you cannot rejoice in the light of His countenance, you may yet rest in the shadow of His wings. Waiting upon the Lord has this blessed effect upon the mind, it makes us grow small and it dwarfs the world and all its affairs till we see their real littleness, and then courage is renewed.

You do well to commit your way unto the Lord. When the road is not plain and enemies of delay and discouragement press hard, pray as David prayed, teach me Your ways, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path. Wait upon Him as a servant waits upon his master, as a traveler waits upon his guide. There is a final success to all His waiting, and He will bring forth your righteousness as the light and your judgment as the noonday in His own good time.

O Lord our God, You hear us when we ask anything according to Your will. We bring before You this husband and wife who have waited long. You know the need, the weariness, the infirmity, and the anxiety that presses upon mind and heart. Grant, we pray, that justice may be done in this claim according to truth and righteousness, and if it be Your will, open the door that has so long seemed shut. Grant wisdom and patience to those who decide, and to the attorney who pleads the cause. Give to this dear husband peace of mind and quietness of spirit, and to his wife strength for each day, that she may rest in You and not be overwhelmed. Lead them in a plain path, and help them to wait upon You expectantly, looking for everything from Your hand, for You are their All in All. Though the answer tarry, help them to trust and to do good, to rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who ever lives to make intercession for us. Amen.
