Prayers please

You ask for strong prayers for your protection, for safety coming and going, and that is a request God delights to hear. His mercy endures forever. That is not a hollow religious phrase; it is the deepest truth you can anchor your heart to when fear whispers. The same God who stretched out the heavens and set the sun to rule the day is the God who watches over your every step. His power to keep you safe flows from the same unending mercy that holds the stars in their courses.

Mercy is precisely what you need, and what He is so willing to give. It is not getting what your sins deserve, and it is the open door to grace, which is receiving the goodness you could never earn. You might feel you have to convince God to protect you, but that is not the case. He is full of pity and tender mercy, knowing we are but dust. He is not looking for a reason to withhold His care; He is looking for a heart that calls on Him, a voice that says, “God, I’m sorry, I need You.” His mercy is available without limit, as high as the heavens are above the earth.

The safety you long for is never found in a place on a map, as if a different city or circumstance could be a true refuge. People have always been tempted to think that running somewhere else will secure their peace. But the true promise, the bedrock assurance, is this: whoever puts their trust in the Lord shall be safe. Safe from the snares of the enemy, safe from the destruction that seeks to overwhelm, and safe from the final consequence of sin. Jesus Christ is our protection. In Him, mercy and truth met together. He took the penalty justice demanded, so that God could pour out mercy on you without compromising His righteousness. Your ultimate safety was secured at the cross.

So as you drive, as you walk, as you simply go about your day, let your heart lean on Him, not on the shifting sands of circumstance. Call out to Him. Turn to Him and say, “Have mercy upon me, O God, and give strength to Your servant.” Praying for your physical safety is good and right, but the deeper cry of the soul is for God Himself to be your refuge. He will be your covering. His mercy will greet you when you leave and guard you until you return. Rest in that, for His mercy endures forever.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this time of concern for your safety. It was our honor to lift you up before the Lord, asking for His divine protection over every step of your journey—whether driving, flying, or walking—so that you would arrive and return without harm. We prayed for angels to encamp around you, for God’s peace to guard your heart, and for His hand to shield you from any danger seen or unseen.

If the Lord has answered these prayers and brought you safely to your destination and back home again, we would love to hear your praise report! Your testimony of God’s faithfulness will encourage others and glorify His name.

If, however, your travels are still ahead or you feel the need for continued prayer coverage, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are here to stand in agreement with you, trusting that the Lord hears and answers the cries of His children.

May the Lord continue to go before you, behind you, and beside you in every journey. May His presence be your comfort, His strength your protection, and His peace your constant companion. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
