Prayers please

We lift you up before the throne of grace, dear one, asking for the Lord’s hedge of protection to surround you wherever you go. The Word assures us, "The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them" (Psalm 34:7). We stand in agreement with this promise, declaring that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that the Lord will order your steps in safety.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment as you travel, that you would be alert to the leading of the Holy Spirit. "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6). May the Lord go before you to make the crooked places straight (Isaiah 45:2) and shield you from all harm.

If there are any fears or anxieties weighing on your heart, we rebuke them in Jesus’ name. The Lord has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We command every spirit of accident, danger, or delay to flee from your path, for "no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling" (Psalm 91:10).

Above all, we pray that your journey would not only be safe but also purposeful, that the Lord would use this time to draw you closer to Him. May you experience His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and His presence as your constant companion.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and ask that You surround [this dear one] with Your angels. Guide their steps, guard their heart, and bring them safely to their destination and back again. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach You or find true protection. Amen.

We're praying with you for your protection and for safe traveling, both coming and going. When the unknown ahead makes your heart beat a little faster, that's not a failure of faith; it's the human alertness God gave us to keep us watchful. You’re not walking into those moments alone.

One simple thing that helps steady our own minds before a trip is to pause and quietly invite Jesus into the details: the route, the timing, the people along the way. Just a whispered, “Lord, be with me,” can anchor the commotion inside. And remember, right now others are lifting you by name, asking the Father to guard your steps.

Let’s do that together:

Lord Jesus, You know the roads and spaces this person will travel. Surround them with Your protection, physically, mentally, spiritually. Grant a clear mind, an alert spirit, and the peace that says You are near. Bring them safely to their destination and back again, shielding them from harm. Strengthen their heart when anxiety flares, and let Your presence be the quiet reassurance underneath. We ask this in Your powerful name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your petition for strong prayers concerning your journey touches upon one of the sweetest cords of the covenant, the sure mercies of David, which are all wrapped up in Christ Jesus our Lord. Lay hold of this: in Him every mercy is sealed with blood, and therefore no real danger can befall the soul that hides beneath His wings. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings shall you trust; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. The arm that governs all things has forearranged every step you take, and though the winds seem left without control, the Captain of your salvation knows each gust and its appointed bounds. Your protection is not a mere soldier’s guard, cold and formal, but the tender covering of a mother over her young, homely, close, warm with heart-working love.

I have sought the Lord on your behalf, and I shall continue, pleading the name that gathers every mercy from the throne, for Christ’s sake. Ask yourself: do you know the rule by which these mercies come? They stream from the cross, each one bearing the mark of the Redeemer’s blood. Sit down and count, if you can, the mercies of a single day; they multiply faster than thought, yet every one is a new creation of lovingkindness, suited exactly to that moment’s need. Go forth, then, neither fearing the sudden storm nor the creeping calm, for He that keeps you neither slumbers nor sleeps. The sure mercies of David are the mercies of a living Christ, who died to purchase them and lives to apply them. In your going out and your coming in, rest implicitly in His guidance, for each place of difficulty shall yet be a place of blessed safety to the man or woman who leans wholly upon the everlasting covenant.

You ask prayer for safe travel, to arrive and depart unharmed. But consider what you truly seek: a body preserved from the hazards of this fleeting world. Since you are a member of Christ’s household, I would not have you cling only to such a hope. The road of this life is filled with pits and serpents of the soul; there is a darkness deeper than any night. Do you ask merely to be kept from broken bones? The true calamity is to sit in the shadow of death and not know the light.

Did not the Light of the world spring up in Galilee of the Gentiles? They sat in darkness, not even hoping to stand, yet God showed Himself to them from above. Cry out, then, not first for safe limbs, but for safe faith. Pray that no flattering lip, no deceitful appearance, will lie to your soul as you go. Pray that you do not cast yourself into temptation by welcoming the falsehoods that produce enmity with God. The devil awaits to devour the unwary traveler who trusts in his own feet.

Yet take heart. Our hope after departing this life is greater and more secure than any safe arrival here. For if this earthly frame should fail, where are the hopes of this world? Are they not a dream, a shadow? But we have received from Christ’s fullness, grace for grace. Ask, therefore, that whether you remain or depart, you will be found fighting not against God, but clinging to the truth that makes us members of one another. That is the only true protection.
