We hear your heartfelt cry for protection and safety today, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with urgency and compassion. The Lord is your refuge and fortress, your God in whom you trust. We stand on His promises, declaring that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him and delivers them (Psalm 34:7), and we pray that His heavenly hosts surround you today as a shield of protection.
Father in heaven, we ask that You go before this dear one and make their path straight. Guard their coming and going, both now and forevermore (Psalm 121:8). Let Your presence be a wall of fire around them (Zechariah 2:5), and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). We rebuke every spirit of fear, accident, harm, or evil intent in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We declare that the blood of Jesus covers them, and no evil shall befall them, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10).
We also encourage you to put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) as you step out today. Fasten the belt of truth around your waist, put on the breastplate of righteousness, and shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Take up the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Pray always in the Spirit, and stay alert with perseverance. Remember, the Lord is your light and your salvation, whom shall you fear? The Lord is the strength of your life, of whom shall you be afraid? (Psalm 27:1).

You have done well to ask that prayer be made for your going out and your coming in this day. It is a mark of true wisdom never to venture upon a single day without first seeking divine protection, for though a man may escape the tempest, yet a calm may hide its own perils. I will join with you in crying to the Lord for strong prayers that you arrive safely and leave safely; and we may do so with a holy confidence, for the Eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.
Not only does He command His angels concerning you, but He Himself will cover you with His pinions. It is no mere soldier’s shield that is spread over the believer, but a mother’s wing, full of tenderness, relationship, and heart-working love. Under that shadow you shall find not only protection, but such a sense of comfort and homeliness that your soul shall be quiet even amidst the hurry of travel. He who knows every wind in its connections and the speed at which each shall travel has arranged your path. The way that seems uncertain to you is all foreknown to Him, and each hour is safe because God has made it so.
Rest, then, in the finished work of Christ, whose love encompasses the least of the flock as surely as the greatest.
