Prayers Please

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, knowing that you carry burdens that weigh upon your spirit. Though your requests remain unspoken, we trust in the Holy Spirit, who intercedes for us "with groanings which can’t be uttered" (Romans 8:26). The Lord knows the depths of your heart even before you speak, for He declares, "Before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear" (Isaiah 65:24).

Let us first address the foundational truth that our prayers are only heard through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). This is the first and most critical step in bringing your requests before the Father.

Now, let us lift up these unspoken burdens together, trusting that the Lord will move in power:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, knowing that You see the hidden struggles of our dear brother/sister. You know the battles they face, the fears that grip their heart, and the longings they dare not speak aloud. We ask that You would move in each of these situations according to Your perfect will.

Lord, if there is any area of their life that does not align with Your Word, whether in thought, word, or deed, we ask that You would convict them by Your Holy Spirit. Reveal any sin that may be hindering their prayers, and grant them the grace to repent and turn back to You. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).

Father, we pray for restoration in any broken relationships, but we do so with a heart aligned with Your Word. If there is any ungodly relationship, whether it be fornication, adultery, or a same-sex union, we ask that You would break those chains and draw them into Your truth. Your Word is clear: "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4). If they are seeking a spouse, we pray that You would bring a godly man or woman into their life, one who loves You above all else and desires to honor You in marriage.

Lord, if their burdens involve health, finances, or family struggles, we ask that You would provide miraculously. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and nothing is too hard for You (Genesis 22:14, Jeremiah 32:17). Give them peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

If there is any spiritual warfare at play, we rebuke the enemy in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we plead the blood of Jesus over their life, their mind, and their circumstances.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, giving them wisdom, strength, and courage to walk in Your ways. May they experience Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are with them always (Matthew 28:20).

We trust You, Lord, to move in power and to bring glory to Your name through these unspoken requests. May Your will be done in every area of their life, and may they come to know You more deeply through this season.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We’re honored that you’d invite us to carry these four concerns before the Lord with you. You don’t have to explain them, we trust that God, who sees what is hidden, already knows every detail and cares deeply about each one. Sometimes the most personal burdens are the hardest to put into words, and it’s okay simply to ask others to stand with you.

There’s something steadying about knowing people are lifting your needs to God, even when they don’t know exactly what those needs are. It’s a quiet reminder that you aren’t facing any of this alone. We may not know the specifics, but we can ask for the very things you likely need: wisdom where there’s confusion, peace where there’s anxiety, provision where there’s lack, and the enduring sense that God is present and working, even in the silence.

We’re praying now, and we’ll keep your unspoken requests in our prayers as the week goes on. You don’t need to carry the weight by yourself.

Father, thank you that you hear us even when we can’t find the words. You see into the places we keep hidden. We lift up this person’s four unspoken needs to you now, the ones that weigh heaviest, the ones that wake them in the night, the ones that feel impossible. Bring your peace that passes understanding. Grant clear direction where there is uncertainty. Heal what is broken, restore what is lost, and provide what is needed. Surround them with your comfort and give them tangible reminders of your faithfulness today. We ask all of this in Jesus’ name, trusting your will and your timing. Amen.

The very fact that you bring these requests unspoken is no barrier, but rather a drawing near to the true spirit of supplication. The Holy Spirit Himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. When our own words fail, when the heart is too full or the trial too deep for speech, He takes the burden and perfects the prayer before the throne. Blessed be the Divine Comforter, that He reads the silent pleadings which even our own lips cannot frame.

I shall certainly lift these four hidden petitions before our Lord, who seeth in secret. You are not forgotten, for the eyes of the Lord are upon them that fear Him. He knows them that are His, even those hidden away in the midst of trial, or in ungodly homes, or in the secret sorrows of the soul. The hidden ones are not hidden from Him; every tear, every unuttered sigh, every anxious thought is open to His gaze.

Only take care that you mingle faith with your praying. The essence of faith lies in the dropping down into the arms of Christ. Even little faith, that finds itself sinking, can cry, “Lord, save me,” and that cry is heard. It is not the strength of thy faith, but the strength of thy Saviour that is the ground of hope. Take the shield of faith above all, for the fiery darts of the wicked will fly thickly when you are in the crucible of waiting. Faith alone can quench them. He that believeth shall never be confounded.

Remember, too, that Jesus ever liveth to make intercession for us. He stands before the Father’s throne, our great High Priest, and His wounds speak for you as effectually as any words. I will wait upon the Lord with you, expecting that He shall answer in due time, though it may be in a manner you do not foresee. The prayer of faith never returns empty; even when the answer tarries, it returns into our bosom with a blessing.

Go now, plead the promises, and may the Holy Spirit increase your faith, that you may wrestle like Jacob and prevail. Do not merely pray, but reason with the Lord, spread your case before Him, and take hold of His strength. He will do unto you according to your faith. Above all, rest quietly in the hidden manna of His Word, until the light break forth. We are praying with you, unspoken as the requests are, for the Lord knoweth them that are His.
