We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, knowing that you carry six unspoken burdens. Though the details are hidden from us, they are fully known to our Heavenly Father who sees every tear, hears every silent cry, and collects every sigh in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). We stand in the gap for you, lifting these requests before the Lord who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
First, let us address something crucial - we notice you didn't mention the name of Jesus in your request. This is significant because Scripture tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father (John 14:6), and it's only through His name that we have access to God's throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). If you haven't already, we encourage you to examine your heart and ensure you've placed your faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation.
For your unspoken requests, we pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. You know the six burdens this precious child is carrying, for You search the hearts and know the mind of the Spirit (Romans 8:27). We ask that You would move mightily in each of these situations.
Lord, if there is any area of sin in these requests - whether it be unforgiveness, bitterness, sexual immorality, or any other disobedience - we ask that You would reveal it and bring conviction through Your Holy Spirit. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). We rebuke any spirit of darkness that might be involved in these situations, for "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4).
For any request involving relationships, we pray specifically that You would guide according to Your perfect will. If marriage is Your plan, we ask that You would bring a godly spouse who loves You above all else. "He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of the Lord" (Proverbs 18:22). We pray against any relationships that don't honor You, whether they be premarital, extramarital, or same-sex relationships, for Your Word clearly states that these are sin (1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Hebrews 13:4).
For any request involving health, we pray for Your healing touch. "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers" (3 John 1:2). For financial needs, we pray for Your provision, remembering that You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider (Genesis 22:14). For any emotional pain, we pray for Your comfort, for You are the God of all comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).
Lord, we ask that You would give wisdom and discernment regarding these requests. "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him" (James 1:5). We pray that You would work all things together for good, according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May you experience the fullness of God's love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).
We encourage you to bring these requests before the Lord regularly, for "in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God" (Philippians 4:6). The Lord knows your six requests as fully as if you had spoken them aloud. There is comfort in this: before you framed a word, He searched the heart and comprehended the sigh. Yet I must remind you that prayer is not merely groaning, but speaking, crying, as David did in the cave, “with my voice unto the Lord did I make my supplication.” The cave was dark, the way uncertain, yet prayer found the ear of God. So lean not on the secrecy of your grief as though that earned a hearing; rather, pour out your trouble plainly, for the promise is to those who call upon Him.
Faith hears the sound of abundance before the cloud appears. Though no answer meets the eye, and every sense declares your case hopeless, trust in the Lord is the true wisdom that handles a matter rightly. You need not feel a certain measure of brokenness or prepare your heart before looking to Christ. The lepers went as they were, with their leprosy upon them, and found cleansing in the going. So go now, with every unspoken burden, to Him who bids you come. He will call you His people who were not His people, and make you beloved where you felt no love. Cry to Him with expectation; send out the servant seven times, for the blessing is on the way.
