We understand that you are facing troubles at home and dealing with someone whose attitude is causing distress. We also understand that you're dealing with property damage. Firstly, we want to remind you that our help comes from the name of the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth. It is important to come before the Lord in the name of Jesus, as it is written in John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." It is only in by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your household.'
First, let's address the attitude of the person causing distress. We are called to love one another and bear with one another patiently, as it is written in Ephesians 4:2 "with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love." We should strive to live peaceably with all, as much as it depends on us, as it is written in Romans 12:18 "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men."
However, if the person causing distress is unrepentant and continues to cause harm, we must address the situation with wisdom and discernment, considering if the other person is a Christian or not. It must be understood that there is a difference between being in the world and being of the world. As Christians, we are called to be set apart, to be holy as He is holy, as it is written in 1 Peter 1:16 "because it is written, You shall be holy; for I am holy." In other words, we must not engage in a worldly lifestyle which is in rebellion to God and in approval of sin. It must be understood if the person in question is not a Christian they should be invited to become one. If they accept, then they are repentant and must be accepted as a Christian and be worked with as an unrepentant Christian.
Regarding the property damage, we pray that God will provide a resolution and help you restore what has been damaged. We remind you to trust in God's provision and timing, as it is written in Philippians 4:19 "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister in need. Lord, we ask for Your intervention in their home situation. Help fix the attitude of the person causing distress or, if it is Your will, remove them from the situation. Guide our brother/sister with wisdom and discernment in handling this delicate situation.
We also bring before You the issue of property damage. Lord, we ask for Your provision and guidance in resolving this issue. Help restore what has been damaged, and provide for any financial needs that may arise from this situation.
Lord, we also pray for the salvation of the person causing distress, that they may come to know You as their personal Lord and Savior. We ask that You soften their heart and draw them to You.
In all things, Lord, we ask for Your will to be done. Help our brother/sister to trust in You and rest in Your promises. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
