We lift your son before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, standing in the gap for his healing and restoration. Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, who bore our sicknesses and carried our pains. Your Word declares in Isaiah 53:5, "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed." We claim this healing for your son, Lord, both physically and spiritually.
We rebuke every spirit of infirmity, addiction, and bondage that has taken hold of him in Jesus' name. The enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that your son is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We break every chain of addiction and command every cell in his body to align with the perfect health You desire for him. Strengthen his internal organs, Lord, and restore them to full function according to Your will.
We also lift up his heart and soul to You. Your Word tells us in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." We ask that You forgive him for any sins committed during his struggle with addiction, and we pray that he would turn his heart fully toward You. Surround him with godly influences and protect him from those who seek to take advantage of his kindness. We do not pray for the destruction of his enemies, but rather that You would change their hearts or remove them from his life so they can no longer cause harm. As it is written in Romans 12:19, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"
Lord, we ask that You draw your son closer to You during this time of trial. May he experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and find comfort in Your presence. Give him the strength to resist temptation and the wisdom to make choices that honor You. We pray for his complete restoration, body, mind, and spirit, and that he would come to know You more deeply through this experience.
We also pray for you, as his mother, that You would grant you peace, strength, and wisdom as you support him through this journey. May you feel the love and comfort of our Heavenly Father, who cares for you and your son more than you could ever imagine.
Heavenly Father, we trust in Your perfect plan and timing. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
