Thank you for sharing this heavy burden concerning your wife. We have prayed for her and for you, and we take seriously both the heaviness of spirit you describe and the physical marks that have appeared without clear cause.
Scripture presents God as a fortress and a place of protection for those who dwell close to Him. To live in close fellowship with Him, abiding under His covering, is to be kept safe from the trap of the enemy. His truth is given as a shield and covering against attack. When Jesus was confronted by the enemy He answered with the truth of God's Word, and that same truth is our protection today. We do not keep spirit beings out by hiding in a room or by physical barriers, but we are kept by belonging to Christ and by standing in what God has said.
The Bible is clear that evil spirits are real and that they can afflict people with oppression, heaviness, sadness and even physical torment. They are described as having power to sting and to hurt, and there are accounts of them biting and marking the body and bringing deep heaviness. Yet Scripture is also clear that their power is limited. God sets boundaries they cannot cross, and He makes a distinction for those who belong to Him. Those who are sealed in Christ are not left exposed. The promise is that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world, and that if we submit to God and resist the enemy, the enemy must flee.
Your prayers as her husband matter deeply. God hears the prayer of a husband for his wife and brings healing and covering through it. Scripture teaches that the believing husband brings a holy influence into the home, and your intercession, your speaking of Scripture over her, and your loving presence are part of God's provision for her protection. Continue to pray aloud for her, to speak the truth of God's Word over her, to worship with her when she is able, and to remind her of who she is in Christ.
For the heaviness and sadness you mentioned, keep bringing her before the Lord for deliverance and for the lifting of that burden. He promises to exchange heaviness for praise and to give peace to the troubled heart. Encourage steady time in Scripture, honest prayer, and fellowship with other believers who can pray with you both. Do not isolate. At the same time, because the marks and the depression are distressing, seek wise and trusted pastoral care in person, and also seek competent medical care to rule out any physical or emotional health factors. Spiritual care and practical care are not opposed, and both can be used by God for good. Avoid any involvement with occult or sensational solutions, and keep your trust centered on Christ alone.

We pray that He will be her fortress and her shield, that He will drive back every attack of the enemy, that He will heal any hurt and remove fear, and that He will restore restful sleep and lightness of heart. We pray also for you, for strength and wisdom and faith as you stand with her, and that your home will be filled with the comfort and protection that comes from trusting under His wings.
