I need peace in my home my children don't get along with each other an my brother do t get along with one of my sons it's hard to keep peace between them it's so much drama under one roof it's stressful plus I have a son has mental illness he have medicine to stabilize but he's not consistent taking an that cause a lot of issues I pray all the time for things to change

We hear the heaviness in your heart and we join with you in seeking God's will together in Jesus' name for peace and unity in your home. Living with constant drama and division under one roof is exhausting, and we understand how stressful it is when your children do not get along and when there is tension between your brother and your son. We lift all of this before the Lord with you.

God deeply desires peace and unity in the family. His Word says, See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity Psalm 133:1. We are also called to be eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace Ephesians 4:3, and to walk with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love Ephesians 4:2. This does not mean there will never be disagreements, but it calls us to pursue peace actively. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men Romans 12:18. Sometimes that means setting loving boundaries, speaking with gentleness, for a gentle answer turns away wrath Proverbs 15:1, and choosing forgiveness even when it is hard. We encourage you to continue to model and teach patience and forgiveness in your home, to have calm family conversations where each person is heard, and to make your home a place of prayer together where the peace of Christ can rule in your hearts Colossians 3:15.

We also carry your son who struggles with mental illness before the Lord. We know how painful it is to watch him struggle and how much more difficult it becomes when he is not consistent in taking the medicine that helps stabilize him. God cares for him deeply and He cares for you as you carry this burden. We pray for healing, for stability, and for wisdom for you and for his doctors, for if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. Caring for our bodies and minds with the help God has provided through medicine is a good stewardship, and we encourage you to lovingly encourage him toward consistency, working closely with his healthcare providers, while also surrounding him with grace and prayer. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7, and we pray that spirit over your son. Remember to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7.

We noticed your request speaks of praying often but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name in all your prayers. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is in His name that we can come boldly to the throne of grace and find help and peace that surpasses all understanding.

We pray together for you now.

Father, we lift this dear parent and this household to You in the name of Jesus. Lord, we ask You to pour out Your peace upon this home, the peace that surpasses all understanding that will guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. We ask that You calm the strife between the children and teach them to love and bear with one another in love. We pray for reconciliation and understanding between her brother and her son, soften hearts, remove bitterness, and help them to speak with kindness and respect. Lord, we especially lift up the son who battles mental illness. Touch his mind and body, bring stability and clarity, give him willingness to be consistent with the help You have provided, and give wisdom and endurance to his mother as she supports him. Let Your presence bring order out of drama and rest out of stress. We ask that You be Lord of this home, that Your unity and love would dwell there, and that every member of this family would know Your saving grace through Jesus Christ. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to not be anxious in anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God Philippians 4:6. Keep bringing these burdens to Him daily, seek wise godly counsel from a pastor or trusted believer when needed, and trust that God is working even when change feels slow. We are standing with you in prayer for lasting peace and unity in your home.

We've been praying as we read your request. Wanting peace at home and carrying so much tension every day is exhausting, especially when you love everyone under that roof and feel caught in the middle.

It makes sense that it feels stressful with several different conflicts happening at once, the children not getting along and the strain between your brother and your son. When there is no clear structure for how disagreements get handled, emotions can quickly escalate and leave everyone on edge.

For your son who lives with mental illness, we also hear your worry when his medicine is not taken consistently. That is a lot to carry alone. Alongside prayer, we encourage you to reach out to his prescribing doctor, clinic or counselor to share your concerns and get guidance on how best to support him. They can help you think through next steps safely.

One small step that sometimes helps in a crowded, tense home is to set one simple, shared agreement about how you will talk through conflict, for example choosing a calm time, letting each person speak without interruption, and asking a trusted pastor or counselor to help keep the conversation respectful if needed. Even one consistent pattern can lower the drama a little.

Father, we lift this family to You. Bring Your peace into this home, give this parent wisdom and strength for each day, protect each child and brother, and guide this son to the care he needs. Lead this family toward steadier days together. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your longing for peace under your own roof has been heard, and we have carried it before the Lord with you. To live where there is continual striving between children, and between your brother and your son, is a heavy burden, and when to this is added the sorrow of a son who struggles with illness of the mind and is not consistent in the means appointed for his stability, the home can feel as though sorrows are surging round on every side.

There is a word of the Lord that meets you in this very place. You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. This peace is not a mere lull or a false cry of peace, peace where there is no peace. It is a filling peace, a well founded peace, a peace which God the Father gives, which Jesus Christ bought with His blood, and which the Holy Spirit works in the soul. He is our peace. Christ has made peace by the blood of His cross, and He leaves His own peace with His people. It is a present possession and may be enjoyed even in the ordinary circumstances of life, even with thronging duties pressing and with loved ones near at hand in conflict.

We pray that you may know this peace first within your own heart, that your mind may be stayed upon the Lord as you bear your sorrow with Him. Bring every new burden to Him, for the Lord will bless His people with peace. When family cares multiply, take them again to your God who is unmoved though you are troubled, and ask Him to renew your peace day by day.

We pray also for your household. Scripture shows us a whole household hearing the word, a whole household believing, a whole household set to work for God, and a whole household rejoicing. Oh, for a family in which there is constant prayer, a family in which every child may safely follow the father's example. Even one person in a household may put all the rest into a wrong position, and unbelief and unruled tempers will eat as a canker into the very vitals of the peace of the family. Therefore take pains to rule your household in the fear of the Lord, not in harshness, but in steady, prayerful love. Let the word of Christ dwell in your home. Gather your household as you are able to hear the word, to pray together, and to seek the Lord for a renewed heart for each one. A rejoicing family is a renewed family.

For your son who suffers in his mind, we pray with special tenderness. We ask the Lord to have mercy upon him, to grant him clarity and steadiness, and to give you wisdom and patience as you care for him. Encourage him in love to be faithful with the help that has been provided for his stability, and seek wise counsel both from those who care for his health and from faithful pastors who can walk beside your family. Bear his burden with Christ, and do not cease to commit him to Jesus who has vanquished all powers and who is able to keep both you and yours in His keeping.

May the God of peace Himself grant you peace always. We pray that He would quiet strife under your roof, soften hearts that are hardened toward one another, teach your children and your brother and your son to love and forbear one another, and give you strength to endure and to do the will of Jesus, for to do His will is rest. May He guard your home, and in His time bring that unity which comes only from reconciliation to God through Jesus Christ, for there is no other name whereby we can be saved, and no other foundation for lasting peace.

We will continue to pray that the Lord will keep you in perfect peace as you trust in Him, that He will make your household a place of prayer and of hearing His word, and that He will in His mercy bring change and rest where now there is drama and stress. May you go in peace to your ordinary household duties, fulfilling your calling as the Lord gives you grace, with the peace of God which passes all understanding keeping your heart and mind through Christ Jesus.

Your request for peace in your home has been heard, and I join you in bringing it before the Lord. Living under one roof with constant drama and division is truly stressful, and to carry the added burden of a son who struggles with mental illness and is not consistent with the medicine that helps stabilize him is a heavy weight. Your faithfulness in praying continually for things to change is precious to God, and He does not overlook it.

Scripture calls us to follow peace with all men and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord. This shows us that peace is not just a wish for quiet, but a way of life that belongs to those who belong to Christ. Jesus said, My peace I give to you, and the peace He gives is not like the peace the world gives. The peace of the world is often only external and fragile, but the peace Christ gives makes us at peace with God and then enables us to be at peace with one another. That is the peace that can make a home strong even when pressures are great.

God is not a God of war and fighting. He calls His people to be peacemakers, for blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. To be a peacemaker is to imitate the Son of God Himself. The psalmist said, with those who hate peace I was peaceful, and that is the virtue that draws us near to God. Nothing delights Him more than when we choose not to hold on to past wrongs. Enmity grows when conflict is fed and when we remember evil against one another, but when we release that and choose to forgive, we are set free and our home is given room to breathe.

Much conflict springs from the things of this life, from pride and envy and vainglory. If we cut out the root, the fruit of strife withers. This does not mean the problems are not real, but it means we learn to despise the petty provocations and to value what is above, the treasure that no one can steal. When one person seeks honor or insists on being right, peace is driven out. When we instead seek the honor that comes from God and are willing to be humble, peace can return.

I pray for you now in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to the Father.

Father in heaven, I lift up this home to You. You see the tension between the children, the strain between brother and son, and the exhaustion of living with constant drama. Grant this family Your peace, the peace that passes understanding. Soften hearts that have grown hard toward one another. Teach each one to turn from harsh words and to pursue what makes for peace. Give wisdom to this parent who is trying to keep peace between everyone, and renew strength for each day.

I pray especially for the son who lives with mental illness. Lord, have mercy on him and bring stability to his mind and body. Help him to be consistent in taking the medicine that has been provided to help him, and give wisdom to doctors and family as they support him. Guard him from harm and draw him close to You. Help the whole family to respond with patience and love, while also setting wise and loving boundaries that protect the health of everyone in the home.

Help this dear one who prays without ceasing to continue to trust You even when change is slow. Remind her that You are at work even in long trials, and that You use these struggles to make us more dependent on You. Make her a peacemaker in her own home, not by forcing peace, but by living it, by not returning evil for evil, by not holding grudges, and by quietly waiting on You rather than rushing into conflict.

May this home know the true unity that comes only through faith in Jesus Christ. Lead each member to seek You first, to be reconciled to You, and then to be reconciled to one another. Amen.

Continue to pray, and continue to walk in that calling to be peaceful even when others are not. Seek wise counsel from your pastor and, for your son, keep close partnership with his medical providers so his care can be as consistent as possible. Trust that God hears, that He is patient, and that as you follow peace and holiness, He will give you the grace you need for each moment.
