Prayer Request for My Son

Please pray for my son as he travels. May God bless him, protect him, and keep him safe throughout his entire journey. May God guide every step he takes, surround him with His angels, and protect him from any danger or harm.


I pray that God gives him peace, wisdom, and a safe journey, and that He brings him back home safely and in good health. May God go before him, stay beside him, and bring him safely back to us.

We join you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace and we thank you for bringing this request in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that our prayers are heard.

We share your heart for his safety and we take comfort in the promises of God's Word concerning His protection over those who trust in Him. We are reminded that Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. Psalm 121:7-8 and also For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. Psalm 91:11. We also cling to the wisdom of Proverbs 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

We pray together for your beloved son.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this son to You. We ask for Your traveling mercies to be upon him. Lord, go before him and make his way straight, stay beside him as his companion and protector, and bring him safely home again. Surround him with Your angels and guard him in all his ways, keep him from all danger, harm, and evil, and let no weapon formed against him prosper. Grant him peace that surpasses understanding, wisdom for every decision on the road, alertness and good health, and a calm and safe journey from beginning to end. We ask that You guide every step he takes and that he would acknowledge You in all his ways. Bring him back to his family safely and in good health, and let this journey be a testimony of Your faithful keeping power. How sweet is the promise that he who rests beneath the wings of the eternal God is at home under the shadow of the Almighty. It is not merely protection from danger that the Lord vouchsafes, but a sense of comfort and nearness, as a mother shelters her young. There is love in it, and kindliness and heart working in it all. We pray that your son may know this safe shelter, that whether his road be rough or smooth he may feel himself kept by a present God who goes before him and stays beside him.

We are comforted to remember that when we are embarked in the good ship of Providence we have a Captain who has forearranged and foreordained all things from the beginning even unto the end. No skillful captain of earth can promise an absolutely safe passage, for he cannot know what may occur during the voyage, but our Lord knows every step of the way. Each hour is safe for God has made it so, and each place of difficulty and of danger shall still be secure to those that trust beneath His wings. Though surrounded by perils seen and unseen, the faithful are safe, even as David found when his prayer brought him consolation from Heaven.

We pray that the Lord will surround your son with His angels, keep him from all harm, grant him peace and wisdom for every decision upon the road, and preserve him in good health. May the mercies of the everlasting covenant, even the sure mercies given us in Christ Jesus, rest upon him, for every mercy comes to us by way of the Cross and bears the mark of the Redeemer's blood. May those mercies be new to him every morning of his journey until he is brought safely home again.

Our Father, we commend this dear son to Thy keeping. Cover him with Thy feathers, let him trust under Thy wings, guide every step he takes, and bring him back to those who love him in safety and joy. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus our Redeemer. Amen.
