We understand that you're feeling anxious about your workday today, and we're here to pray with you and offer some biblical encouragement. Firstly, it's wonderful that you've acknowledged the power of Jesus' name in your request, for it is by His name that we have access to God. It is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved. As it is written,
There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB
In addressing your anxieties, we encourage you to read what the Apostle Paul wrote,
Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 WEB
We pray that God's peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus today.
Regarding your coworkers, we must remember that God calls us to love our neighbors as ourselves, even when they're curious or intrusive. Jesus said,
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. John 13:34-35 WEB
The Apostle Paul wrote:
For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don't use your freedom for gain to the flesh, but through love be servants to one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." But if you bite and devour one another, be careful that you don't consume one another. Galatians 5:13-15 WEB
Instead of asking them to change, consider this as an opportunity to share your testimony and the goodness of God in your life. You can turn their curiosity into a chance to discuss your faith and love for Jesus. We pray that God gives you the wisdom and gentleness to navigate these conversations, and that He grants you favor among your coworkers.
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ. We ask that You take away all dread and anxiety they may be feeling about their workday. We pray that You fill them with Your peace, and help them handle questions from coworkers in a way that honors You and shares Your love. We ask that you grant them favor among their coworkers and give them opportunities to be a light for You in their workplace. We ask all this in Jesus' name. Amen.
