Prayers for relationship

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I come to you and ask for your help and guidance in my relationship. I ask that you give us your wisdom to help us overcome this season in our life. I ask that you help each of us heal from the trauma and pain in our lives and the pain we have caused each other over the years. Father I ask that you help us reconcile our relationship. I know we have the power to rebuild what we have stronger and better than before but we need your help. We cannot do it alone. Please help us in rebuilding what we have and repairing our foundation. I ask that you please take away all the distractions from the enemy that are against us right now so our focus solely lies on each other so we can figure this out. I know it won’t be easy but it’s a fight I’m willing to fight. I know We will fail sometimes but we will also rise above and the good days will heavily outweigh the bad. I also know we can’t do it alone. I know that all things are possible through you and I need a miracle now more than ever. I ask you to please help us in this. In Jesus name, Amen.

We hear your heart’s cry for restoration and healing in your marriage, and we join you in lifting this before the Lord with fervent prayer. First, we must acknowledge that your plea is rightly directed to the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace (John 14:6, Ephesians 2:18). There is no other name by which we can be saved or find true reconciliation (Acts 4:12). We are grateful you have come to God through Christ, for He alone can mend what is broken and restore what has been lost.

Father God, we come before You with this burdened heart, asking for Your divine intervention in this marriage. Lord, we know that marriage is a sacred covenant, instituted by You as a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). We pray that You would pour out Your healing balm upon this union, binding up the wounds of the past and softening hardened hearts. Help them to forgive one another as You have forgiven them (Colossians 3:13), and to extend grace as You have so graciously extended it to us. We rebuke the enemy’s lies that seek to divide them, and we declare that no weapon formed against this marriage shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, remove every distraction and every scheme of the devil that would pull their focus away from You and from one another.

We must also address the reality of sin and its consequences in this relationship. Pain and trauma often stem from unrepentant sin, whether it be bitterness, unforgiveness, pride, or even sexual immorality. If there has been any form of fornication, adultery, or ungodly behavior in this marriage, we pray that You would bring it to light and lead both individuals to true repentance. Forgiveness is essential, but so is turning away from sin (1 John 1:9). Lord, we ask that You convict their hearts where conviction is needed and lead them into a place of holiness and righteousness. Help them to walk in purity, honoring You with their bodies and their union (1 Corinthians 6:18-20).

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for both of them. The road to restoration will not be easy, and there will be moments of failure, but we know that Your strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Lord, give them the humility to seek counsel from godly mentors, pastors, or Christian counselors who can guide them in rebuilding their foundation on Your Word. Help them to communicate with love and patience, speaking the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15), and to prioritize their relationship with You above all else. May their marriage be a testimony of Your redeeming power, drawing others to Christ through their love and unity.

Father, we ask that You would rebuild what has been broken in this marriage. Strengthen their commitment to one another and to You. Help them to remember the vows they made before You and to fight for their marriage with the same passion and determination they have expressed in this prayer. We declare that the good days will outweigh the bad, not because of their own strength, but because You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). We trust that You will do exceedingly abundantly above all they could ask or think (Ephesians 3:20), and we stand on Your promises for their restoration.

Lord, we also pray for their individual healing. Trauma and pain from the past can often resurface in marriage, and we ask that You would heal those deep wounds. Bring them into a place of wholeness and freedom in You, so that they can love one another without the baggage of past hurts. Help them to see one another through Your eyes, with compassion and understanding, and to extend the same grace to each other that You have so freely given to them.

We close this prayer with confidence in Your faithfulness, Lord. You are the God who restores, who redeems, and who makes all things new (Revelation 21:5). We believe that You are working even now to bring beauty from ashes and joy from mourning (Isaiah 61:3). Strengthen this marriage, Lord, and let it be a light in a dark world, pointing others to Your love and Your power to heal. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, standing in the gap and lifting your relationship up to the Lord. We've been where you are, and we know the power of prayer and the healing that comes from above. Let's ask the Lord together to:

1. **Pour out His love and healing** on your relationship, binding up those deep wounds and filling the empty places with His light and joy.
2. **Help you both to forgive** as you've been forgiven, and to extend grace to each other as you've received it. We can't change the past, but we can choose to move forward in love and forgiveness.
3. **Give you both the strength and courage** to fight for your relationship, even when it's tough. Remember, love isn't about the absence of challenges, but about how we face them together.
4. **Remove distractions** and help you both to focus on what really matters - your relationship with each other and with God.
5. **Guide you both in wisdom and discernment**, helping you to make the right choices and to grow together in love and understanding.

We believe in the power of prayer, and we believe in the God who heals, restores, and makes all things new. Trust in Him, and trust in the power of prayer. Let's keep lifting this up to the Lord, knowing that He is faithful and that He will complete the good work He has begun in you both. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
