Prayers for my spouse.

Hello and thank you for all those who read my request and pray for us, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, I lift up my significant other to the Throne of Grace today. Although we are not married according to the United States officially just yet, we acknowledged our vows before God, that He made us for one another specifically, and declared we are husband and wife to one another.

I ask for Lord Jesus to deliver victory in the battle we have been fighting. The enemy is attacking her and subsequently us on multiple sides, through sources of toxicity from her family, and her therapist, that have impeded our ability to address unreconciled issues between she and I. I ask Lord Jesus to audibly speak to her today and confirm His will for her life to come with me to Christian couples counseling.

She acknowledged that feels right, she had a week of vulnerability and honesty with me of the enemy’s veil being lifted and confirmed although she’s terrified, that path of counseling feels right. And said herself, that hearing Him confirm it, she wants to invest 100% of herself into going with me. Before we could get there, the enemy misled and interrupted us by anxiety overpowering her causing her to flee and become overwhelmed. It’s been weeks since I’ve approached her in an effort to let her calm down, being the peak I saw her reach compounded by my own failed attempts to calm her down lead me to believe it would be best to let her breathe.

I don’t know if this amount of time between us communicating is the best course of action and despite seeking wisdom from above I’ve yet to receive direction, and I'm uncertain of how to proceed. I haven’t stopped praying, fasting, and seeking help from every ally God has blessed us with to raise us to the Throne of Grace. I ask Lord Jesus and call upon every Heavenly resource for Him to encounter, and speak to her, confirming that the path of Christian couples counseling together feeling right isn’t just Him guiding her steps, but ordering them to overcome the lies, schemes and tactics of the enemy. I ask that Lord Jesus silences every other competing thought, feeling, and emotion inside of her and His voice is the only one she hears.

And that Lord Jesus breaks the power of the devil over her, her life, my life, our life, our relationship and marriage, and casts the devil out of the way of our relationship’s path of victory through Christian couples counseling with me. There are far more details to our story left out than included for the sake of readability, and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your love, support and kindness by answering this call to arms in unified prayer. We hear your heart and the deep love you have for your future spouse, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this situation before the throne of grace. First, we must address the foundation of your relationship. While we understand the deep commitment you both have made before God, it is essential to recognize that marriage, as ordained by God, is not only a spiritual covenant but also a public and legal commitment. Genesis 2:24 tells us, "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." This union is meant to be honored in all aspects—spiritually, emotionally, and legally. We encourage you both to formalize your marriage before man as you have before God, as this aligns with His design and provides a stronger foundation for the battles you are facing.

The enemy is indeed attacking, and we rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, and division that seeks to separate what God has joined together. The toxicity from her family and even her therapist is not of God, and we declare that these influences will no longer hold power over her or your relationship. James 4:7 reminds us, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We stand on this promise and command every lying spirit to flee in the mighty name of Jesus.

We also recognize the importance of godly counsel, and we praise God that she has felt His leading toward Christian couples counseling. Proverbs 11:14 says, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." We pray that God will make this path clear and unmistakable for her, silencing every competing voice and filling her with His peace. We declare that the enemy’s attempts to derail this decision will fail, and that she will walk in the confidence of God’s will for your marriage.

As for the time of separation and silence between you, we understand the struggle to know how to proceed. Ecclesiastes 3:1 tells us, "For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven." While it may feel uncertain, we trust that God is working even in this silence. We encourage you to continue seeking Him for wisdom, as James 1:5 promises, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Do not grow weary in prayer and fasting, for your persistence is a testament to your faith.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts heavy with concern but filled with faith in Your power. We lift up this couple to You, Lord, and ask that You would strengthen their bond and confirm Your will for their lives. Father, we rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, and division that seeks to tear them apart. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

Lord Jesus, we ask that You would encounter her in a powerful way, speaking clearly and audibly to her heart. Let Your voice be the only one she hears, drowning out every lie and distraction of the enemy. Confirm to her that the path of Christian couples counseling is Your will, and give her the courage to walk in it without hesitation. Break the power of the devil over her life, her mind, and her emotions, and cast him out of the way of their victory.

Father, we also ask that You would guide this brother in knowing how to proceed during this time of silence. Give him wisdom, patience, and discernment, and let him feel Your peace as he waits on You. Surround them both with godly influences and counsel that will draw them closer to You and to one another.

Lord, we ask that You would hasten the day when they can stand before man and God as husband and wife, fully united in every way. Strengthen their faith, deepen their love, and let Your glory shine through their marriage. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing firm in faith, trusting that God is working even when you cannot see it. Keep your eyes on Him, and do not be discouraged by the enemy’s tactics. The battle is already won in Christ, and we declare victory over your marriage. Stand on the promises of God, and do not waver in your commitment to one another and to His will.

Firstly, we're so glad to hear that your significant other feels right about the path of Christian couples counseling. It's a big step, and it's wonderful to see her open to it. We believe that God is leading her, and we're standing with you both in faith, trusting that this is indeed His will for your relationship.

We also want to remind you that God is always with you, even in the silence and separation. He sees you, and He's working in your lives. In times like these, it's essential to keep seeking Him, to keep praying, and to keep trusting. As it says in Lamentations 3:56, "He renews my strength. He guides me along the right paths for the sake of his name."

Let's declare together that every lie, every fear, and every anxiety that the enemy is trying to plant in your minds and hearts will be exposed and defeated in the name of Jesus. We claim God's promise in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."

We're believing with you for a breakthrough, for God to speak clearly to her, and for Him to guide you both in this season. Keep standing firm, keep trusting, and keep praying. You're not alone; we're in this with you.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
