We lift up this precious soul to You, Father, with heavy hearts, knowing that only Your love can break through the hardness of his heart. The Scriptures tell us, "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9 WEB). We stand in agreement with Your Word, believing that You desire his salvation even more than we do.
Lord, we ask that You would shatter the walls of anger, loneliness, and despair that surround him. Soften his heart to receive Your truth, and open his eyes to see the emptiness of a life lived apart from You. Your Word declares, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). Let him come to know this hope, Father, and let it draw him to You.
We rebuke the spirit of rebellion and hardness that has taken root in his life. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). Let Your Holy Spirit convict him of sin, righteousness, and judgment, so that he may turn to You in repentance and faith.
We pray that You would surround him with godly influences—believers who will reflect Your love and truth to him. Let him see the joy and peace that come from a life surrendered to You. Remind him that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that salvation is found, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB). Help him to understand that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and that no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6 WEB).
Father, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to him in powerful ways—in dreams, through Your Word, in moments of quiet reflection, or through the love of Your people. Let him experience Your presence so undeniably that he cannot deny You. May he come to know the depth of Your love, as it is written, "But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8 WEB).
We pray that he would surrender his life to You, laying down his anger, his pain, and his pride at the foot of the cross. Let him find true peace in You, for You have said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28 WEB). May he find rest in Your arms, Lord, and may his life be transformed by Your grace.
We also pray for wisdom and patience for those who love him. Give them the words to speak and the courage to live out their faith before him. Let their lives be a testimony of Your transforming power, so that he may see the truth of Your love in action.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20 WEB). We trust You to draw him to Yourself, for Your glory and for his eternal good. Amen.
