We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is ensnared by the enemy’s lies and bound by addiction and rage. Father, we know that no one is beyond Your reach, and we stand in the gap for this beloved child of God, crying out for Your mercy and deliverance.
First and foremost, we declare that salvation is found in no other name but Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us, *"For there is no other name under heaven, given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12). We pray that this dear one would come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior, repenting of sin and turning fully to You. Without Christ, there is no true freedom, no lasting peace, and no victory over the darkness that torments him. Lord, open his eyes to the truth of Your Word and the power of the cross.
We rebuke the false doctrine that has led him astray. The enemy masquerades as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14), but we stand on the truth of Scripture: *"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness"* (2 Timothy 3:16). We pray that he would reject every lie and embrace the pure, life-giving truth of Your Word.
We also rebuke the fits of rage that have taken hold of him. The Bible warns, *"For man’s anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires"* (James 1:20). Lord, we ask that You break the spirit of anger and replace it with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Fill him with Your love, patience, and self-control, fruits of Your Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).
The torment of the devil must cease in Jesus’ name. We declare that *"the Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil"* (1 John 3:8). We command every demonic spirit of addiction, torment, and deception to flee in the mighty name of Jesus. We pray for a supernatural encounter with Your presence, Lord, that he would be set free from every chain.
His meth addiction is a stronghold that must be broken. We know that *"no temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it"* (1 Corinthians 10:13). Lord, we ask for Your supernatural strength to overcome this addiction. Surround him with godly believers who can support and encourage him in his walk with You. Lead him to biblical recovery programs and counselors who can help him break free from this bondage.
We pray for repentance and a transformed heart. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). Lord, we ask that You convict him of his sin and draw him to true repentance. Let him experience the freedom that comes from walking in obedience to You.
Father, we also pray for protection over his mind and spirit. *"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7). Shield him from further attacks of the enemy and fill him with Your peace.
We declare that he is not forgotten or forsaken. You have plans for him, plans to prosper him and not to harm him, plans to give him hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). We pray that he would surrender his life fully to You, trusting in Your goodness and mercy.
Heavenly Father, we ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We believe that You are able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). We trust in Your timing and Your perfect will. May this soul come to know You intimately, walk in Your ways, and experience the abundant life that You promise to those who follow You.
We pray for a mighty outpouring of Your Holy Spirit upon him, that he would be filled with Your presence and power. Let him become a testimony of Your grace and a light to others who are lost and bound. We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for moving mightily in his life. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
