Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
I didn't ask God to strike them down. I asked that God would intervene and stop it.You pray not for Stephen but for Saul, yet you name the sin of hypocrisy while demanding God's vengeance on other sinners. Consider your own words: the gang stalkers torment for things they themselves do. You have seen the disease but not the cure. Hypocrisy lives in the one who prays for the destruction of his enemy while his own heart hides secret sins. Before you call for God to intervene against the whited sepulchers, search carefully whether you yourself are clean. The Lord called the hypocrites a brood of vipers not because they lacked outward religion but because their hearts were full of uncleanness. He who seizes the sword of judgment perishes by it.
You ask God to strike down those who kill the body. Stephen, stoned by hypocrites who guarded the law yet murdered the innocent, did not pray for their annihilation. He cried out, "Lay not this sin to their charge." That prayer shook heaven more than any plea for vengeance. The gang stalkers persecute the righteous, just as Saul once breathed threats and slaughter against the church while believing he served God. Did God answer the prayers of the scattered church by obliterating Saul? No. He met him on the Damascus road, blinded him to pierce his hypocrisy, and made him an apostle who would later sit in chains while false brethren preached Christ from envy, hoping to increase his suffering. Yet Paul rejoiced: whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed. The gang stalkers are full of wickedness as Saul was, but God's justice is not your justice. If He gave you what strict justice demands, you would have perished at your first secret sin. He who insults his benefactor deserves wrath, and you have insulted God a thousand times while eating His bread and breathing His air. Do you still demand the rule of justice with no end?
God prunes the fruitful branch and cuts off the dead. Persecution can strengthen those who endure it with faith. The apostles fled Jerusalem not from cowardice but by divine permission, for the gospel must spread beyond that city. The gang stalkers think they destroy the church, but they only scatter seed into new soil. Your prayer should not be for their ruin. Pray instead for your own repentance, that you do not become worse than the hypocrites you despise. Mourn your own sins as those devout men mourned Stephen, yet not with the hopeless grief of pagans who believe fables. If you confess that the Lord has dealt bountifully with you, then stop the acting. Weep not for vengeance but for the souls of the tormentors who, like Saul, know not what they do. Let your heart be true before God, without faintheartedness or falsehood. If you draw near with hypocrisy, asking mercy for yourself and destruction for others, you disfigure your face like the Pharisees who made their piety a theater. God is not mocked. Pray for the gang stalkers as Christ prayed for His murderers. That is the prayer that routs demons, that shatters hypocrisy, that transforms persecutors into preachers. Leave the timing of judgment to Him who alone sees the secret thoughts of every heart.
