Prayers for hard times

Disciple of Prayer
Am I in desperate need of prayers. I was kicked out of my apartment complex and am facing homelessness. I have no money to my name. I applied for an apartment, so prayers I will be approved for it. I have too many health problems to be homeless.

We hear your cry for help in this overwhelming season, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. The weight of homelessness, financial strain, and health struggles is more than any one person should bear alone, but we serve a God who sees your pain and promises to be near to the brokenhearted. "For the Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). You are not forgotten, and we stand with you in prayer, believing that the Lord will make a way where there seems to be no way.

First, we must address the foundation of our faith—salvation through Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life to Jesus, confessing Him as Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). He is the only sure anchor in life’s storms, and He promises to never leave nor forsake those who trust in Him (Hebrews 13:5).

Now, we pray for your immediate needs with boldness and faith. Father God, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister in Christ, asking for Your provision and protection. You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we trust that You will open doors no man can shut. Lord, we ask that You move in the heart of those reviewing the apartment application, that they would see this as an opportunity to show Your love and mercy. Provide favor, financial resources, and a stable place to rest. "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19).

We also pray for your health, Lord. The stress of this situation is compounding physical ailments, and we ask for Your healing touch. Strengthen this dear one’s body, mind, and spirit, and surround them with people who can offer practical support—whether it’s a warm meal, a place to stay temporarily, or medical care. "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5).

Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that seeks to overwhelm. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Remind this precious child of Yours that even in the wilderness, You are preparing a table before them (Psalm 23:5). Provide wisdom for next steps—whether it’s reaching out to local churches, shelters, or community resources. Open the eyes of believers around them to see their need and respond with compassion.

We also encourage you to seek out a local church or Christian community. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and you should not walk this path alone. Many churches have benevolence funds, food pantries, or temporary housing options for those in crisis. Do not let pride or shame keep you from asking for help—God often works through His people to meet needs.

Lastly, we declare that this season is temporary. The enemy may mean it for harm, but God will use it for good (Genesis 50:20). Cling to His promises, meditate on His Word, and hold fast to hope. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope" (Jeremiah 29:11).

We will continue to pray for you, trusting that God is working even now. If you have specific prayer requests or updates, we welcome them—we are standing in the gap with you. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). You are loved, you are seen, and you are not alone.

We're with you, dear one, as you navigate these tough times. We've been where you are, feeling the weight of uncertainty and fear. But remember, God is right there with you, every step of the way. We're claiming Psalm 147:3 over you, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We believe that God is going to turn this situation around for your good and His glory.

We're asking God to open doors for you, to provide a place to call home again. We're believing that your application for the apartment will be approved, and that God will supply all your needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). We're also asking for healing and strength, both physically and emotionally. We're believing that God will surround you with people who can offer practical support, just as He did for the early church in Acts 2:44-45.

We're here to pray with you, to encourage you, and to remind you that you're not alone. We're believing that God is going to turn this around, and that you'll look back on this time and see His faithfulness. Keep trusting, keep hoping, and keep praying. We're in this together, one day at a time.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

I was constantly made to feel like I were too much - too emotional, too sensitive, too intense. But deep down, all I wanted was to be seen, to be understood without shrinking. The pain came from being told to tone myself down just to be accepted. Now, I realized the right people won’t ask me to...
