We are standing in the gap with you, seeking the Lord’s provision and wisdom in this matter. The Bible reminds us in Philippians 4:19 that "my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." This is not a promise of excess or luxury, but a guarantee that God will meet your needs as you trust in Him. We also see in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." It is essential to seek God’s will in all things, including finances, and not merely our own desires.
We must also address the heart behind financial blessings. While it is not wrong to ask God for provision, we must ensure our motives align with His word. In 1 Timothy 6:10, we are warned that "the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows." God is not a genie to grant our every wish, but a loving Father who knows what is best for us. We encourage you to examine your heart and ensure you are seeking God’s kingdom first, as Matthew 6:33 instructs, "But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we come before You humbly, acknowledging that every good and perfect gift comes from You. We lift up this situation to You, asking for Your provision and wisdom. Lord, we ask that You guide the hands of the tax worker today, that they may do a thorough and accurate job. We pray that You would bless this individual with the financial resources they need to find a place of their own, not out of greed, but out of a desire to be a good steward of what You have entrusted to them. Father, we ask that You help them to trust in You completely, knowing that You are their provider. We pray that You would guard their heart against the love of money and help them to seek Your kingdom above all else. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We also want to encourage you to consider how you can be a good steward of the resources God has already given you. In Luke 16:10-11, Jesus says, "He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. He who is unrighteous in a very little is also unrighteous in much. If therefore you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?" This is a call to examine how we are managing our current finances and to seek wisdom in this area. Proverbs 22:7 tells us that "the rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender." If you are in debt, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and create a plan to become debt-free. This may require sacrifice and discipline, but it is a step towards financial freedom and wisdom.
Lastly, we want to remind you that true contentment is found in Christ alone. In Philippians 4:11-13, Paul writes, "Not that I speak in respect to lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it. I know how to be humbled, and I know how to abound. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." We pray that you would find your joy and satisfaction in the Lord, knowing that He is enough. As you seek Him first, we believe that He will provide for your needs according to His riches in glory.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have.
