We stand with you in this spiritual battle, lifting your cry to the Lord our Defender. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every evil plot, every scheme of darkness, and every weapon formed against you in the mighty name of Jesus. No weapon that is formed against you will prevail, and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord (Isaiah 54:17).

We declare that the Lord is your refuge and fortress, your God in whom you trust. He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart (Psalm 91:2-4). We pray that the Lord will surround you with His angels, commanding them to guard you in all your ways (Psalm 91:11). May the Lord arise, and let your enemies be scattered; let those who hate you flee before you (Numbers 10:35).

We also encourage you to put on the full armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:11-12). Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests (Ephesians 6:14-18).

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, the Name above all names, the only Name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We ask that You deliver ### from the hands of her enemies. Break every chain, shatter every plot, and let Your light shine in the darkness. We declare that no evil shall befall her, nor shall any plague come near her dwelling (Psalm 91:10). Strengthen her faith, Lord, and let her trust in You increase. May she find peace in Your presence and rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

We also pray for those who seek to harm her. Father, we ask that You touch their hearts and turn them from their wicked ways. Let them see the error of their ways and come to repentance. For You desire that none should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).

Lord, we thank You for Your protection and Your love. We trust in You, our Rock and our Redeemer. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

When enemies seem to be closing in, our minds can spiral, overpredicting danger in ways that make it hard to think clearly or rest. That's not weakness; it's how fear works. But you don't have to let it set the terms. One simple, concrete step you can take is this: the next time dread washes over you, speak the name of Jesus out loud, not as a formula, but as a declaration that He alone holds authority over every threat, seen and unseen. Say it in your room, in your car, wherever you are. His name is our true stronghold.

We'd also encourage you to tell a trusted pastor or mature believer exactly what you've told us. You shouldn't navigate this alone, having someone pray with you in person and stand with you matters.

Lord Jesus, we lift our brother to You now. He is afraid, and rightly so, people wish him harm. We ask You to be his shield. Surround him with Your presence so tangibly that the threats of others lose their power to terrify. Give him clear, sound judgment to know what steps to take and what to leave in Your hands. We pray against the spiritual forces driving this hatred, and we declare that no weapon formed against him will prosper. Grant him deep, unshakable peace tonight, and let him sleep knowing You never slumber. In Your mighty name, Amen.

The Lord has not given you over to the will of your enemies, nor has He left you to their merciless designs. Every weapon formed against you falls within the fence of Omnipotent overruling; the fiercest arrow shot from Satan’s bow cannot pierce you unless divine permission ordain it for your lasting good. No evil comes apart from His government, and no foe can snatch away the life that is hidden with Christ in God.

Deliverance from the power of such darkness is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. He who found a ransom to keep your soul from the Pit will surely shield you from those who seek your hurt. The Prince of Darkness may rage, and men may conspire, but the voice from the excellent Glory still declares, “Deliver him from going down to the Pit.” He keeps back your soul from perishing by the sword; He is your shield and exceeding great reward.

You feel the arrows of slander, the plots of malice, the shadow of death stalking near. So did David when Doeg and Shimei assailed him, when he was the song of the drunkard and the harlot’s jest. Yet he cried, “My soul, wait thou only upon God.” And did he not prove that God was his deliverer? You shall live and not die, not to boast in your own strength, but to declare the works of the Lord. The very afflictions that now threaten are the chastening of a Father’s hand; they are not the doom of the condemned. He is thinking about you, and every groan is heard, every tear seen.

If this trial drives you nearer to the Lord, it shall be a strange enrichment. Pharaoh meant to crush Israel, but they came out with silver and gold. Your enemies would bury you in the dust, but God means to set your feet upon a rock and establish your goings. The new life He has given you cannot be touched by death; from the grave of your fears there shall shoot up a tree of life. Wait only upon Him, for your expectation is from Him. Neither principalities nor powers can separate you from His love. In Christ, you are delivered already from the wrath of man and the sting of the destroyer. Come away from the habits of the dead, and let your heart dwell in the secret place of the Most High. He redeems your life from destruction; He turns the shadow of death into morning.

You ask for prayers against attacks from enemies who seek your life. Grieve not, neither despond. If your conscience holds nothing blameworthy, their charges are nothing; you become the more blessed. Shine out in your life, and take no account of those who speak evil. It cannot be that one careful for virtue should not have many enemies. But this is nothing to the virtuous; by such attacks your brightness increases all the more.

Build upon the rock, not upon sand. What is this rock? A life founded on faith and obedience to Christ. Then no earthquake of calamity, no fire of persecution, no inroad of hostile men can destroy you. They may assail your body, but your soul remains impregnable.

Do not walk alone. The devil rushes in when he sees a man isolated, just as he fell upon the woman in the garden when she was apart from her husband. Flock together with the faithful; let their prayers and presence be a fortress. As Paul begged for prayers to be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men, so you must seek the intercession of the church.

And do not bristle for vengeance. Leave that to God. Vengeance is His, He will recompense. It is not the one who suffers the evil who is truly harmed, but the one who does it. Your enemies, if they refuse to turn back, will fall into the hands of the living God, while you, if you endure, will receive a far greater reward. Consider the apostles: they were dragged about, beaten, slandered, yet they rejoiced. Their master was a prisoner; why should the servant expect ease?

So commit yourself to Him who sits at the right hand of God, waiting until His enemies be made a footstool for His feet. Pray not only for your deliverance, but even for those in authority, that you may lead a quiet and peaceable life. In all this, keep a blameless reputation; let your life be irreproachable, and their accusations will fall away like smoke. The struggle is sharp, but brief; the crown, eternal.

This is a terrifying kind of request, and I want to speak directly to the heart of it. When people set themselves against you and seek your life, it is a dark and heavy burden. The impulse to fear is natural, and the desire for protection is exactly where you need to be. But we have to understand the nature of this battle. Evil is not just a set of actions; it is a spiritual reality. There is a spirit of evil at work in the world, and it hates all that is good and righteous. When people give their hearts fully to do evil, it is often because they have deceived themselves into thinking God is far away, that He does not see, or that it simply doesn’t matter how they live. But that is a lie.

The foundation of real wisdom is a hatred of evil because God Himself hates evil. If we are to walk with Him and have His protection, we cannot tolerate or make peace with evil in any form. This means we do not render evil for evil. When someone rails on you, when they threaten you, the old nature screams to fight back, to slander in return, to plan vengeance. That is the way of the flesh, and it leads only to death. The good life, the life that truly sees good days, comes from a different path. It is a life that refrains the tongue from evil and deceit. It is a life that not only shuns evil but actively does good and pursues peace with a relentless determination. That is the life under the watchful eye of the Lord, whose ears are open to the prayers of the righteous.

Your enemies are like a vapor. The wicked may do evil a hundred times and seem to have their days prolonged, but their end is sure. They will be cut off. They will consume away like smoke. Do not let their temporary success cause you to stumble. The sentence against their evil work will be executed. Your role is not to enforce that sentence. Your calling is to fear the Lord, which is to depart from evil and commit your life fully to Him.

This life, taken only on a human plane, is as empty and fleeting as a shadow. Life apart from Christ has no real substance. But when you are born again, you enter a new dimension of life. It is no longer just a soul and body driven by the flesh; it is a spiritual life, with your spirit made alive and in union with God's Spirit. And yet, there is a war within. The flesh still wants to sit on the throne and react with old, dead ways like bitterness and anger. You must reckon that old life to be truly dead. When those feelings flare up, you turn them over to the cross because they belong to a life that has been buried.

Stand against these attacks with the spiritual weapons God has given you, the chief of which is prayer. The entrance of God’s Word gives life. Let His precepts give you understanding so that you can see the right path clearly and grow in a genuine hatred for the false way that seeks to destroy you. You are not living by chance. The hand of God is upon your life, and nothing happens to you by accident. He brings into your life what He knows is ultimately for your good, even when it comes in the form of a trial. This threat is an appointment for you to trust Him more deeply, to find your life by losing it for His sake.

The Lord will make you alive through His Word. He will satisfy you in the days of famine. You will not be ashamed in the evil time. His face is set against those who do evil, but His eyes are over the righteous. Lay your heart before Him, asking not just for deliverance from your enemies, but for a pure heart that hates evil and loves Him above all else. The only life that lasts is the one lived for Christ. Make that commitment without considering a backup plan, and you will find your life becoming an overflowing cup rather than an empty, fearful thirst.
